Well let me start off with some history... the car is 5 speed Accord EX 2.2 and about a year ago maybe a little longer the car started making this weird scrubbing noise when I turned left. I had a friend replace the front rotors, calipers, brakes, axles, and bearings. The sound didn't stop and no one could figure it out. Finally I drove around to numerous shops the other day and one told me the sound was coming from my sway bar bushings and brackets. So I picked up replacements brackets and a repair kit for the left side. Could only find one but I went ahead and ordered the second one and hopefully it will be here Tuesday.

Wasn't sure how far I should've tightened down the repair/replacement kit so I might it tight. The bolt is coming out the top about an inch or inch half of the top of the nut. I can take a picture if needed. The brackets went on fine.

Test drove the car and the sound basically went away.. heard a little here and there but figured it was from the other side. Went home and took a shower then went to the store and the car started making this horrible metal on metal scrapping sound. Really bad when I turn right. I get back home and jack it up, check both set of brakes, look for an objects pushing against the rotor and pulled the dust cover back to make sure its not touching the rotor.

Got in the car and still the metal scrapping sound.

Does anyone have any suggestions about this or had a similar problem?

Any help would be great as I'm confused on what it could be.

SQiX:

Okay, seems like you have (reasonably) gone through your brakes and wheel bearings.

Then again, I have NO idea of the parts used and the installation labor performed.

Also, you don't indicate the mileage on your car. You also don't indicate what (if any) service has been performed to (especially) the outboard CV joints.

Faulty/broken suspension components tend to produce rattles, vibration, and unusual steering response. NOT the grinding/scraping noises you indicate.

Mine gives out that loud screech noise if I go through gravel roads where all those little rocks would get stuck between the dust shield and whatever.
