View Full Version : Accord sedan spoilers from honda
neilyo1986 09-14-2009, 02:49 PM My 08' sedan came without a spoiler so I went to honda after work today and got a price for 2 stock spoilers I can buy, the first was the truck lip spoiler and the second was the trunk wing spoiler. I know what the lip spoiler looks like but have no idea what this stock "wing" spoiler looks like. there almost the same price but before I order it tomorrow id like to know some of your expert opinions.
Which one looks better of the stock 2 for the 08-09' sedan?
and does anyone here have the wing spoiler on there car so I could check it out for reference? thanks again guys.
MrDemonicAngel 09-14-2009, 02:54 PM price for 2 stock spoilers

There are only two versions, wing spoiler and deck lip spoiler. The deck lip spoiler will look much better with sedan.
I bought the deck lip spoiler and I love it:

Both H&A and Collegehills Honda have clearance price on them now for $223 plus shipping, around $12.

lol.
HONDADRIVER09 09-14-2009, 06:25 PM I honestly prefer the wing spoiler. It really makes the sedan look good. It's not too big but it makes a difference in the way the back of the car looks.

You forgot the JDM lip spoiler option #3
and Mugen wing option # 4

The OP said he went to his local honda and you won't get these from your local Honda, so the options are still back to Wing Spoiler or Deck Lid Spoiler.
#3
In Japan, you don't have to buy the deck lip spoiler because it comes with the car like V6 coupe here.
#4
Mugen spoiler is aftermarket spoiler, not stock from Honda.

Like I said, the OP was asking about the stock spoilers available from Honda and he specifically name the 2 of them, wing spoiler and deck lid spoiler, and wondering which one to get from local Honda.
Yes, you can get inspire spoiler which is for Japanese market, and you have to wait more time and pay almost double the price of what you can get here,:jawdrop:
Mugen Spoiler is NOT stock spoiler from Honda, all MUGEN parts are aftermarket.
craziexstylez 09-15-2009, 07:23 PM Or you can wait and get the inspire decklid from Stephan.
Darth Do'Urden 09-15-2009, 07:43 PM Wow...since when does a spoiler of these two types even come CLOSE to equating to a "high school punk" car?
That being said, I do like the deck lid spoiler better than this Gen's wing alternative. 7thGen wing was SOOOOOO much cooler.
neilyo1986 09-16-2009, 08:00 AM Wow thanks for the input guys  Im going to order one today so ill post the pics of which one I choose, I still dont know lol. If I has the coupe I could go without it but my sedan just looks naked without a spoiler back there and I like how they are both kinda low profile and not literally the crazy wing. 9 years ago I was 14 and back then I was so into import tuning I use to think those huge metal wings looked awesome on cars.. lol, now I literally cringe just thinking about one of those huge things.

Coupes look naked w/o a spoiler too.
