starbai 09-16-2009, 09:37 AM Gonna get a vanity for my Prelude, and change what I have on the Accord... so need 2.
So far I've got as options:
SKRU U2
UP URZ
STFU FOO
OMG STFU
FWD SUXX
I want something funny/stupid... any suggestions?

I don't know, seems if you were to get pulled over having a license plate that reads any of the above is one way to guarantee a ticket.
OMFGBBQ would be pretty funny imo.
starbai 09-16-2009, 09:52 AM bbq ?
jkcheng122 09-16-2009, 09:55 AM bbq ?
Haha, guess you don't play any MMOs. There's supposed to be wtf in there too I left out. Something like OMFGWTFBBQ, I don't know why BBQ is in there but it is. Maybe someone else can chime in.
Hittman 09-16-2009, 10:13 AM Of the list, I like OMG STFU best.
Sticking with the IM/SMS idea, here's 3 minutes worth of thought from me:
GTFO
W00T!
STAR FTW
PWNED
:paranoid:DA.NET
starbai 09-16-2009, 10:13 AM what about 'LOL G37"
lldsandsll 09-16-2009, 10:16 AM people will think u have a g37
starbai 09-16-2009, 10:28 AM people will think u have a g37
lol yea and kinda stupid too.
i'm thinkin 'omg stfu' for the prelude and "2sekse" for the Accord.
a friend of mine suggested "IM R1GHT" for one car and, "UR WRONG" for the other... kinda lame unless they're together lol.
starbai 09-16-2009, 10:30 AM i do like 'FWD SUXX" though
LRP_Accord 09-16-2009, 10:42 AM CYIWORK (see why I work)
CULOOKN (see you looking)
CUZICAN (because I can)
V6FTMFW (V6 for the motherf**king win)
KNOUCIT ("I" know you see it)
RTexasF 09-16-2009, 11:07 AM That's the best one I've seen......it says it all.

Dunno about the FL DMV but there's NO WAY you could get any of those past the censors here. And frankly I think you'd be inviting trouble with them. They're all kinda inflamatory and if you do something stupid to the wrong person an inflamatory plate could push them to retaliate. Imagine if you part too close to someone, they come out of the store, read your plate and decide to key your car or pop a tire cause they read your plate. Not worth it IMHO.
That said I think a plate which reads PHA-QUE would rock!

OMGWTFBBQ has BBQ tacked on the end just to satirize the overuse of acronyms during online gaming or while chatting. It's inclusion is meaningless, but it is supposed to be one step up from OMGWTF.
...not that I was ever a gaming nerd or anything. :paranoid:
MatmanVT 09-16-2009, 12:18 PM Let me know how you make out, the censors in VT are pretty tough, those would never fly here. We actually have to explain the meeting of the requested plate on the application.
A local one here is "HIOFFCR" on the back of a Ferrari 360 that always cracks me up. (Not maney Ferrari's up here, so ya notice!)
I mistook the BBQ quote above to be a reference to that lovely nickname many give cops, since BBQ is usually a pork product.
starbai 09-16-2009, 12:31 PM lol thanks for the ideas fellahs...
FL i dont think is lax but at the same time I did get for the accord already 'WTF 1DOT" = (wtf idiot) --- but no one ever knows what 1DOT is so thats why I'm planning on changing it.
Right now Star Bai is on my S2000... I'm thinking of varying it for the other cars and just keeping the same thing roughly on all of them...
S2000: STAR BAI
Prelude: 5TAR BAI
ACCORD: STAR BA1
kinda boring but keeps my nick name on all of em ;)
robbery 09-16-2009, 06:22 PM OMFGBBQ would be pretty funny imo.
I was thinking this one had to do with being really excited about barbecue. Now I'm all hungry...
Antarctica 09-16-2009, 06:58 PM You should get a license plate that reads SAMPLE. It's so original!
Atomic Robot 09-17-2009, 05:07 AM The censors in Ohio are tough as well but occasionally something slips through- there was a guy up here in CLE that had a plate that read BUKAKKE several years back...
The cool thing is that you can go to the Ohio BMV's online site and enter the plate that you want. It will tell you if that plate is available, but what you enter is still subject to censor review.
Viper8701 10-02-2009, 06:05 PM I saw an R8 one time, had the licence plate saying "4U2NV".
I LOL for a second.

I wanted to do something like that for mine but then I found out there's a company named "XLR8". I don't really know how popular they are but it turned me off from it nevertheless.

I think that would be cool to see in someones driveway.
Kinda off topic, but I was wondering what the advantage would be if one goes to get a custom license plate through the DMV (which is much more expensive) instead of getting a custom plate from some website?

Are you allowed to register those plates for your car with the DMV if you order them from some website?

No I highly doubt it haha, but why should someone want or care to register a custom plate if he has his registered plate on the other side of the car?

What? Why would you only get 1 custom plate and leave your other plate on too? You wouldn't even be allowed to. If you get custom plates, they give you 2. You have to give your old plates back to the DMV.

Really? Everyone in my state that I've seen have just one custom plate on either the front or back and their regular plate on the other side :dunno:
Haha I guess I could be mistaken but that's what I swear I've always seen. I guess I should do more research. What you say makes much more sense though and it answers my question, thanks.
GTFan712 10-02-2009, 08:36 PM You could make the plate on the Accord be:
STAR BYE
?
-GT

If your state requires you to have two plates (i.e. DMV-issue license plates) and you replace one with something off a website, you're liable to get a ticket.
If your state requires 1, then the custom plate can go on the front.
IMHO vanity plates are tacky and draw unwanted attention (much easier to remember than a standard number).
uhohkaitlina 10-03-2009, 11:31 AM Thinking of license plates is annoying. They are all always taken.
"WASNT ME" was taken
"OMG MOVE" was offensive
"OMG FML" was offensive
So now I have MS TAKEN
