Thought I would do a quick review of the dealership. Not the first time I've been there did a couple more major items (e.g. Timing Belt) before on my old car...planning to let them take care of everything else.

Maintenance Minder B1 came up so I went in this morning (Saturday) around 8:30am. Their quoted priced for the B1 service on an I4 was $120. Seems a bit steep really for what's really just a oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. I wanted the brake fluid changed as well and got that done for $40 more. Total out the door with tax was $171. Again, a little steep but to be honest a lot of the private shops and the other Honda dealer would have been much worse....I might call the other dealer and see what they charge for the same, I bet its twice as much.

Took about an hour and a half as a walk-in with a decent waiting area so not too bad there either. Gave me a nice detailed inspection sheet with tire life and brake life, and a few other items on it, I like that over just saying "your brakes are good." I am a bit surprised that they say my rear brakes are at 25% with only 38k miles--is this normal?? I hear a lot of complaining on the 8th gen ones, but my car is an 06.

All and all good experience, when I looked everything over I can't find anything done wrong, brake fluid looks brand new, etc. While I could have done all this myself and saved a few I'm going to leave it to the dealer for a while for documentation purposes. The cost isn't that much considering I don't have to perform such service that often.
