I sent them a email ...i told them about how some of us wonder about the difference in universal mufflers and if there only for looks only....im hoping they can send me a muffler so i can test it out if they send 1 ill get on a dyno
before and after install to see the power difference

Just wasting your time. gReddy and every other big company out there can't even get good power gains out of a standard catback exhaust upgrade...I don't think a bolt on muffler is gonna do jack.

figured if there gonna say they do so much i might as well try it and get 1........ive never seen a muffler made like that

On their website it reads

"One technician stated "I have yet to see an engine that made more power with a muffler than an open header exhaust." That was before he tested an AeroTurbine. He now eagerly submits to our testimonials."

I'm pulling BS. This guy must be an idiot or is lying, and either way it ain't good. It has been known for years that when done correctly, an engine will make more HP with a muffler. :dunno:

But if they give you one, then give it a shot. Butt dyno it, and if you don't feel anything - then don't spend the money to really dyno it. IF the gain isn't enough to be felt, it probably isn't significant enough to be measured without random error creeping in and possibly explaining that extra 3HP.

I agree and experienced this first hand with my mustang. After a few years, I installed a flowmaster cat back system. From the first ride, you could there was a difference (and not just the sound). The proof was by how much quicker you had to shift gears to avoid entering red zone. Also experienced a 2-3 mpg increase in fuel economy.
