Yet again, this is another sad story of someone keeping exotic animals caged as pets for their own personal enjoyment. Less than a year ago there was a news story of the "pet chimp" who had to be shot down by police officers after mauling a woman.

i remember that. that was vicious. didn't the chimp rip the chick's face apart?

Yes, the woman's facial structure was severely damaged, and they were planning to perform a new type of reconstructive surgery that involves a "face transplant," if memory serves me correctly.

Something similar happened to my grandmothers brother actually... but with a pet buck. (male deer for all you non nature loving folk).

He kept him as a pet for a couple years when one day he turned on him. So what did he do? He shot it, killed it, and ate it for dinner the next night. Yum.

There was a story in the news recently about a man who killed their pet terrier and fed the dog to the family! An investigation revealed that he had broken no law since the animal was put down humanely (small hammer between the eyes) and no charges were filed.
