So i have a 55w HID kit from retro solutions. I turn my car on this morning and the headlights worked fine. Later in the afternoon when i turned my headlights on the driver side one and the driver side fog doesn't work. I am using a relay harness from retrosolutions for the hids for the headlight. The fog is just a regular bulb. I check all the fuses and none of them are blown. I checked all the bulbs and even switched the bulbs to see if they were the problem but they aren't. Im wondering if this issue had to do with the relay? Or what else could cause this to happen? Thanks. (and please dont say use the search because i have spent a long time searching on the fourm and cannot find anything relevant to my problem)

Mine still have problem turning on, I sent retrosolutions a PM, spoke a little bit, then no more responses. I don't have the relay because the kit didn't come with one at the time he said.

But it seems like when I turn the light's on, if I flick the turn knob kinda hard, they usually both come on. Least that's what it seems like .. maybe it's just me.

Mine had a problem igniting for the first month or so that I owned it. After ripping the entire system apart and reinstalling it, it's been perfect ever since. No problem with a cold start when unlocking the doors, or when turning them on with the car running.

Try giving him another shout. If anything, you might need to take the bumper off, swap bulbs or ballasts, and see if it's a problem with one of those.

If you have the ground from both harnesses going to the same spot, that could do it, and judging byt your symptoms I'd assume that is what is going on there. You just need to take those grounds up and clean up that area well, use a little sandpaper and put them back.

The last PM we have from you was replied to :dunno:
If you ordered a kit from us that did not come with a harness we give them to you free now, all you is pay shipping. Maybe we sent you an invoice for this already?
We started including a wiring harness because of the ELD system causing issues on so many of them and Honda's "its normal" response. Many of them are not able to supply the power the headlight wiring was built to handle, nor the proper power for the stock bulbs (nevermind HID). Odd that it is only "normal" for 8th gen Accords and no other Honda/Acura model.

I just turn them off then back on until they both light.

Check grounds as aforementioned...
I also recommend picking up some dielectric grease for the places you connect your stock h11 plug to the kit and to the bulb. Then tie wrap and double sided tape to ensure no "jiggling"...and maybe it'll be ok.
