Yep! Since I am going to paint my rims black, I'm doing the grill and window trim too!

So Far I've painted 2 layers of black on the grill and in a few minutes, going to do the clearcoat layer !:naughty:

hey i never took off the grill before.. but im wondering.. is the chrome piece and the "plastic diamond mesh" 2 different pieces that arent stuck together? the H is removable via clips right? I was wondering if i should paint the grill black and take the H off to have it look similar to the JDM sport coupe grill thread

I say if your planning on taking the H off, might as well just buy a mesh piece and replace it. Otherwise your going to have a Hole looking like an H, which kinda looks weird lol

Thats why im going to paint mine a dark blue. (Planning on doing a Black and Blue Theme, later on when I have money -- Do a White and Blue Theme -- and possibly keep the rims black :))

Ya, I wanted to do that too, but I kinda like the H so I am going to keep it. Here are some pics of the 2 pieces apart from eachother. You can try to make the same holes like the original grill so attach on.

Looks like it's gonna look great. Prepare to have your touch up paint handy to touch up all the rock chips that show.

Don't ask me how I know...
hint...NBP TL.

Nice though...I did the same...took me forever cause I kept tyring different paint to get it to look glossier. Turns out caliper paint came out best for me...it looks pretty mean with the front blacked out. I opted for chrome A though cause the contrast looks great.

Looks good! I'm thinking of either painting my chrome trim or getting a vinyl overlay made.

A few questions:

-How did you remove the grille? Does it involve taking off the bumper?
-Did you strip the chrome before painting?

-GT

Ya, I want to see how the H Looks OEM Chrome. If I don't like it, I will paint is a dark shade of blue, probably a little darker than the BBP Accord

--Reminder of a Black / Blue Theme. Later a White/Black/Blue Theme

(Numbered the Questions in Quote)

1. Think I said earlier --> Remove bumper and there are clips holding the grille, there are also clips holding the mesh
2. See #1
3. Sandpaper. I will do this process for the Window Trim too since it turned out very well for me.

Planning to have the Car look something very close to this

Edit2:
Probably get these headlights eventually

Either that, or get someone to do a custom version for my headlights :)

OMG Thank you for reminding me, I believe I have to remove the interior door panel in order to remove the Window Trim, So I will remove the handle at the same time :)

i like the way the rims look stock, but if u want it black then thats fine. lol im goin with stock rims or some bronze/gold colored one with a black car. since i have 3000k hids. i think the yellow/bronze/gold theme looks classy and i like it. but first i really want to get rid of my trunk cause of that damn wing, but im sure my dad dont cuz he was the one that wanted to add the wing. :/ i really like the v6 lip makes it look real clean and simple.

Hey, 3 questions
1.) what kind of paint are you using to paint your rims and grill?
2.)where did you get the paint and clearcoat ?
3.)Are you doing anything special with the paint? like are you using brushes or cloths to get the even coat of paint and to give it the nice finish?

btw. the car looks awesome dude. keep working at it and doing what your doing
