to make a long story short i was in a 7-11 parking lot getting something to drink and my gf comes rushing in screaming these numbers and I am just looking at her saying wtf are you talking about then she tells me somebody hit your car and drove away as i run outside and rush into my car to see if i can catch the guy the cop stops me before i get out the parking lot I'm thinking to myself didn't you see what just happened. i told him what happened and filed a police report. what gets me real upset is that my gf didn't get plate numbers doesn't remember what kind of car or what color it was and there was also a police officer next to the parking lot and didn't see anything. well anyways i am taking it to my mechanic so he can look at it and see what is the best route to take. hopefully the damage is less than my 500 dollar deductible, what do you guys think?

The fender is creased, it won't pop out very well. To make it perfect, replace the fender. Or, bondo up what you got and repaint it.

You should just buy a new fender and paint it... if you try fixing it wont look the same... You wont be able to pop it out either cause that area has a sharp shape.
Not a big deal tho

I think it would have turned in a 70's car chase scene if that happened to me.

Unless a cop stops you first. Kinda sad the gf couldn't even get the color of the car. I guess those numbers she was shouting was the plate numbers?

Really too bad b/c if caught that hit-n-run guy is in some serious trouble for fleeing the scene.

Let a reputable experienced/proficient P.D.R. (Paintless Dent Removal) specialist have a look at it. They can work wonders, and best of all- if they can't repair it to a high-standard, they'll tell you str8 up ahead of time. After the P.D.R. repair, just get a mobile paint repair service to address the scratches (usually these guys often work side-by-side w/ P.D.R. businesses).

I think it can be easily repaired in a relatively inexpensive manner, though I'm not an expert nor have I seen the damage(s) in-person. . .

I personally wouldn't want a replace the front fender (unless it was absolutely necessary), because that would require a repainted/color-matched/blended body-panel that may not properly match the rest of the vehicle. The original panels are primered/painted/baked/cured in a protocol at the factory that can't be duplicated later on. Paint-finish consistency is what I'm getting at. . .

BTW, did you ask the 7-11 if they have security cameras for the parking-lot, or if any surrounding/adjacent business has security cameras?

Courts & insurance companies assertively go after hit-&-run perpetrators. . .
I guess those numbers she was shouting was the plate numbers?Could've been #'s for the jackpot super lotto!?! :naughty:

7-11 should have camera's that may have caught it...

yeap I asked the cop to see if they can check the security cameras and manager was cool with it but after the cop saw the camera he told me the glare of the sun block the view of the camera...the pictures don't indicate how bad the damage really is...it's worst than it looks I had a couple shop look at it already and they all told me the same thing the fender needs to be replaced because the spot of the dent is where the crease of the fender begins, if it was a little higher than it wouldn't have to be replaced....cost of damages are 978.00 so I will be paying my deductible of 500 ...just real upset cause I been saving for wheels and coilovers to buy all at once and now this will set me back

sucks about your car dude. something like this happened to my mom's old Hyundai car a few years ago. worst part was that it ended up totaling my mom's car out. my mom loved that car a lot because it never gave her any problems and was super reliable.

the guy that ran the scene must have been driving some older car built out of steel like they were built back in the 70's and early 80's because we didn't see any kind of plastic pieces from any other car but my mom's.
