Did I mention that your reckless endangerment of others on public roads when you drive 135mph makes you an inconsiderate LOSER!

I'm gonna wait until that sinks in.....

The past tense of speeding is sped.

I wouldn't consider going at least 60 over to be "a lil bit."

My mom has never driven a car past 80mph let alone 135mph. You got problems if you think going past 100 is speeding a little bit. I do hope if something happens while you're speeding no one else gets involved. If you really do constantly drive the way you say, it's pretty much a matter of when and not if.

I'm not a fan of woodgrain (real or faux), I know it has the label of being "luxury" but in most applications it looks tacky and like it was an afterthought.

I do like the ivory, though mine is black on black. Ivory would be better in the summer, this Houston heat seems to live inside these seats.

I wish they had cooled seats as well as heated, instead of just heated.

Well you're sounding like you drive at 135 all the time and if not I was guessing you punch it to 80-90 as soon as you get on the freeway since you called yourself a speed freak. This is why you're getting all the negative comments.

Honestly I think many of us here have pushed our cars once or twice to triple digits under ideal conditions with no traffic, I know I've pushed my V6 to triple digits once as well, just slightly over though and no where near 135.

To the best of my knowledge, ambient lighting is suppose to give you a calming effect (depending on the color). I guess you can say its "mood altering", but not like drugs or anything potent. Common colors are blue, purple, and green.

Five young men killed when BMW flies off runway
Combined article by Chris Tutor and ABC news January 26 2008

At about 3 AM early this morning, five young men were killed when the gray 2008 BMW they were riding in flew off the end of a runway's 85-foot embankment near Ocala, FL. The accident happend on the runway of the exclusive "fly-in" community of jumboair Aviation Estates, where John Travolta happens to live.

Police say the guys were apparently racing the unidentified (and from the photos online, unidentifiable) BMW, but don't know if another car was involved. Skid marks at the end of the runway indicate the driver attempted to stop, but was going too fast. The car sailed 200 feet before hitting a tree, breaking into pieces and catching fire. Authorities say the engine was actually ripped from the car in the crash.

No matter the circumstances, our thoughts are with the families as they go through this horrible tragedy.

18-year-old behind the wheel of a BMW that crashed this weekend, killing five Florida teens was reportedly online hours earlier seeking advice on a BMW chat room on problems he was having with the transmission when he hit 140 mph in the $80,000 car.
The grisly accident took place around 3:45 a.m. Saturday at the Jumbolair Aviation Estates, an exclusive gated enclave for private jet owners in Ocala, Fla., where actor John Travolta is a resident.

Residents also complained to police about the lack of security at the airstrip, saying teens had been caught sneaking cars onto the runway.

Authorities say Joshua Ammirato, 18, of Fairfield, Fla., took his father's gray 2008 BMW M5 onto the main runway, with four friends onboard. Police say after racing down runway strip, several times, spun out car several times. On their last run the car flew off an approximately 85-foot-high embankment at end of the runway. They say the car was going so fast it went airborne for about 200 feet before slamming into a tree.

BMW M5 car was split in two upon impact, according to the Florida Highway Patrol, ejecting three passengers and partially ejecting the other two.

All five victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Ammirato likely "braked and turned," said the patrol's Lt. Mike Burroughs, after he either "saw a hazard coming or realized that he was nearing the end of the runway," flipping the car sideways before sending it over the edge.

Burroughs told ABC News he could not speculate on the exact speed of the car at the time of the accident.

All five victims had recently graduated from high schools in the area. James Devon Hime and Dustin Dawe, both 19, had been co-captains of the wrestling team at North Marion High, Kathy Quelland, the school's principal, told ABC News. Ammirato had also been on the wrestling team; 20-year-old Isaac Rubin played football at a nearby high school.

Quelland said the community was "devastated" upon hearing of the accident. None of the victims was a resident of the exclusive community.

Authorities said it appears Ammirato and his friends entered the compound through a back entrance that gives access to the 1.5-mile-long runway used by residents to land their private planes, according to Burroughs.

"Several community residents told us that it was common knowledge that yes, there is a back way to this airstrip," Burroughs said. "We know that troopers accessed the scene through that roadway without being challenged. There was no restrictive access."

Jeremy Thayer, co-owner of Jumbolair Aviation Estates, told ABC News that he didn't know how Ammirato and his friends got onto the property but that teenagers from the surrounding areas had to be chased off the runway in the past.

"It's a private airport, it's not a public airport," Thayer said. "So it doesn't have the same level of security that a public airport has. It's a tempting situation for young kids I guess."

Besides its 7,550-foot-long, 210-foot-wide runway, Jumbolair, which bills itself as "the nation's largest and most exclusive fly-in community," boasts private airstrips that allow residents to taxi their private jets to their doorstep and park them in personal hangars attached to their homes.
Travolta, the enclave's most-famous resident, keeps a Boeing 707 and a smaller Gulf Stream jet at the house and reportedly three other planes as well.

"We are all so distraught and devastated for these families," said Thayer of the Jumbolair community's reaction to the accident. "It's hard just to even talk about it."

Officials told ABC News they found no alcohol on the scene and couldn't confirm reports in the media that the group had been drinking in celebration of one of the victims' 19th birthday the night of the crash.

But less than six hours before the accident, a user who called himself "AmericanM5" logged on to a BMW M-5 online forum asking for advice on how to make the 500-horsepower car go faster.

Florida newspaper the Star Banner identified the user as 18-year-old Ammirato.
"The problem is when I'm going pedal to the metal pushing 140 and upshifting, there tends to be thud noise with the gear change," AmericanM5 wrote in one post, adding, "Let me say I am beginner when it comes to high-performance cars as I am only 18 so take it easy on me."

Others on the online forum doubted AmericanM5's claims of owning such a high-powered BMW at such a young age and warned him to take it slow.

A member logged in as "M5Froth" wrote, "Its [sic] just disturbing to know, if you're for real, that an 18 year old who is asking these questions about a 500hp car is driving the same street I am. I don't have anything against young guys driving nice cars, but an 18 year old behind the wheel of an M5 is what accidents are made of IMO."

In his last entry on the forum, posted at 12:33 a.m. Saturday, AmericanM5 wrote, "I completley [sic] understand where you are coming from assuming that I am irresponsible.. that is definetly [sic] understandable. I do sometimes make bad decisions but I am young and I do drive safe and I will not endanger the lives of others.. and I hope you are not under the impression that I am the one to brag, I have never been that way and never will."

This weekend residents mourned the victims who they said formed part of a tight group of friends.

"People are really just in shock," Quelland told ABC News. "Number one, the severity of the crash and just how devastating that was, but people aren't used to losing three people that they're close to at once."

Students from North Marion and others gathered at a Baptist church Saturday to remember the victims, according to local media reports.

"We wanted to have a place where everyone could get together and mourn," Kathy Crile, the mother of a former student and friend of the victims, told the Star Banner. To "hug and cry

i remember this accident.

yeh its one thing to think you're a cool 18 year old driving 140, in an $80000 car, but remember they were in what they thought was a air strip. they had plenty of space, but they should of still been careful. honestly if i were in the same situation, i'd go super fast too, who has never dreamt of going to an air strip doing 100+ :(? but remember theres always a line between fun and stupid.

do yourselves a favor, leave the super fast speeds to professionals.

Vibha Sharma my cousin died in an accident in 2005 because of the stupid driver, i miss her stop speeding guys you will regret it later on

HAYWARD -- Biology 2A has been noticeably quieter lately. A table in the Chabot College science laboratory has remained empty since last week, when four students and close friends didn't make it home after class.

The classmates of Amanjot Thiara, Saprina Sidhu and Vibha Sharma - - who died Sept. 20 in a car accident that badly injured their friend, Dhanwant Madar -- came to a memorial service Thursday evening on a grassy area near the classroom. They gave potted orchids and flowers to the women's families, who listened to remarks by Chabot President Robert Carlson and the young women's biology instructor, Rebecca Otto.

"I'm a biology teacher. I teach about life," Otto said, adding, "There are a lot of things about life that I simply don't understand."

Otto recalled the students' persistence in enrolling in the class, even after she told them it was full, and their presence in the classroom -- always in a group of four.

On the evening of Sept. 20, the four-hour lecture and laboratory class let out early, said Heather Steich, a biology student who said she saw them leave.

That was the last she saw of them. Two days later, police officers and counselors greeted the students in the classroom, Steich said. Some students had already heard about the tragedy; others learned about it there -- the place which, until recently, had been filled with laughter from one particular lab table.

"They made the class lively," classmate Augusta Ikhile said before the service began. "It was really hard to believe."

Danny Hunh stood nearby, holding an orchid plant with three white blossoms. Hunh graduated from Washington High School in Fremont with Thiara in 2004, and had taken classes at Ohlone College with the women before they enrolled at Chabot.

Sidhu, 19, lived in Union City. Sharma, 18, lived in Fremont. Madar, 19, remained hospitalized Thursday at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley.

"We had a class every year together, until now," Hunh said. "They were just really good people. They didn't deserve to die yet."

Carlson said during the service that a scholarship fund for students in the sciences would be established in their names.
