If you are looking to be flush you should get correct offset. Too wide tires for rim will look stupid.

I was gonna get spacers to flush mine out but I thought about it some more and don't really care enough plus I don't know how it will affect the handling so I said forget it.

Spacers installed on the front wheels will change the feel of your steering. You won't notice any performance difference with them installed on your rear wheels. I have some 16mm spacers installed on all 4 of my stock wheels to accommodate my BBK. Even though the spacers do make the stance of my car look better and flush the wheels to the fenders, if I didn't have to have them, I wouldn't have installed them.

Also, depending on the thickness of the spacers, you have to consider the amount of thread available for your lug nuts to screw onto. Too little, and there could be the possibility of your wheels falling off. My 16mm spacers have their own studs; a bit more expensive but worth the safety.

In short, I'd go with wider tires with the correct offset.

16mm spacers!?!?!

OP, depending on the wheel, we're gonna need to know offset, tire width.

thank you guys for your inputs,
I probably go for a wider tire, I currently have the stock tire(215/50R17) I was looking around and I found some 18" rims with a (235/40R18) tire, but do not know if this is going to be very noticeable since I want a thinner tire:naughty:

16mm spacers!?!?!...

What I really needed to clear the calipers on my BBK with my stock rims was 10mm spacers but no one sold 10mm spacers with studs. 16mm spacers with studs were all that I could find. If there were a set of plain 10mm spacers that I could get, I would have to purchase longer studs to replace all of my stock studs to return the lug nut thread engagement back to normal. Replacing 20 studs is more work than installing 4 spacers with studs. I do plan on getting a set of rims in the future (ones that will accomodate my BBK; so keeping the stock studs is a must.
