I need to change my right front fender. It doesn't look complicated, but perhaps it requires tools I don't have. Does anyone know where I can get instructions of how to remove and replace it?
thanks

Typical of most Honda fenders, it involves about four-to-five bolts on the topside, where it attaches to the inner wheelhouse, two-to-three bolts at the front, one-two bolts inside the door, and one-two bolts at the bottom, where it attaches to/near the rocker panel. A 10mm socket and/or wrench should do the trick. jeffrimerman 10-17-2009, 07:27 PM Jeffrimerman: Removal of the bumper cover and partial removal of the fender liner may be required. If I had the stock white paint I would do that myself, but that probably needs to be baked on. jeffrimerman 10-17-2009, 11:14 PM A painter said it needs to be on the car first so he can match it to the doors and hood. So I can do that first then and then take it somewhere. wardenr 10-19-2009, 09:45 AM Jeffrimerman: I HAVE painted fenders prior to installation. BEST that you install the fender prior to having it refinished...to ensure proper fit and alignment against the body panels/parts. Moreover, installing a painted fender is tricky business, as you're often prone to scratch it. |
