Alright, well I've got my wheels coming in very soon, and I'm seriously debating what sidewall size to get. I will be getting 18x7.5 wheels, but I'm not sure which to get 225/40R18 or 225/45R18.

225/40R18
-3.0% smaller than stock size.
-60 mph = 58.2 mph on the speedo.
Advantages:
-$80/tire (clearance sale)
Disadvantages:
-Speedo offset.
-Smaller look in wheel well. (this is what's really getting me)

225/45R18
-0.4% bigger than stock size.
-60 mph = 60.3 on the speedo.
Advantages:
-Looks as big is stock wheel+tire.
-Speedo offset.
Disadvantages:
-$160/tire

What do you guys think, and if you could, post up any pictures of 8Gen Coupes with ___/45R18.

That's what I'm debating. It's going to be double the price, but I would hate it if the 40s made the wheel look even smaller in the already huge wheel well.

Let me guess, Hankook Ventus R-S2 from Tire Rack?

If you want summer tires, take a look at the Hankook Ventus V12 in 225/45ZR18. They're $130 x 4 = $520 - $50 rebate = $470

Very good tires with good reviews (http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/comparisons/09q2/tire_test_nine_affordable_summer_tires_take_on_the _michelin_ps2-comparison_tests) so far.

Another option is to go with the Ventus R-S2 in 235/40/18 for $89... you'll be off slightly less.

It's not summer tires. I autocross the Accord (say what you want, it gets first in it's class), and I'm using my new wheels mainly for that, so I'm looking for the top performance I can get. I have also heard the V12s are great, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have any pictures of ___/40R18s on an 8Gen Coupe?

EDIT: I completely missed the second half of your post. That's an excellent idea, and it will give me even better performance. I might be leaning towards that.

yaa the 40's are smallll. i saw another guy on here with some 18's rota's with 40 and a lip and they just looked tiny. i've been trying to figure this out myself too since they are ocming in soon!!!!!! so you're gonna go with the Ventus R-S2 in 235/40/18 for $89?

Most likely. The 235s will be wide, but oh well, they're performance wheels anyways.

The 235s actually have a slightly larger sidewall than the 225s did. It makes it go from 3% smaller to only 1.8% smaller than stock.
