I saw this the other week, still running it only had a few rust spots.
Is this a predecessor to the Civic?

RTexasF 10-31-2009, 09:20 AM Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CVCC J_Honda14 10-31-2009, 10:32 AM Looks like a first gen Accord: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Accord#First_generation_.28SJ.2FSM.2C_1976.E 2.80.931981.29 thisismyusrnm 10-31-2009, 11:32 AM I wasn't even aware, that makes me like it that much more! DrumZ53 10-31-2009, 11:38 AM That is the original Accord...the Honda dealers jacked the price way up... after very favorable reviews.... thisismyusrnm 10-31-2009, 11:47 AM i kinda want one... too bad i can't afford another car according2me 11-13-2009, 04:38 AM Yep, 1st Gen Accord. In 1977 they were MSRP $3995 for the 5spd manual and $4295 for the 2spd Hondamatic. They came in blue, silver or gold and hatchback only for the first couple of years. Most dealers sold every one at MSRP and there was a 6 month waiting list in my area for the '77. This was a great little car and the reason I invested (minimally, wish I could have done more) in Honda back then. GotIt 11-17-2009, 06:10 PM Those were the days, my first Honda was an Accord Gen 1, it was red 5 sp manual and it got good mileage also, till this day I regret trading it for a 1982 Chevy Z28, it's the reason I now have a 2008 accord. but I still miss the GEN1 and better yet it even used regular gas before unleaded came on scene back in the 80's. | |
