Anyone have any details on the 04 EX sedan's VSS wire? As in where it's located?

RTF, the VSS wire is basically a signal line that tells how fast the car is going. Cruise control and Navi use it.

Stevel, I'm hacking my car... :)

Well not really I'm just working on an enhancement for my APRS system and VSS seemed like a good place to get the vehicle's speed.

APRS?

Automatic Position Reporting System. (http://web.usna.navy.mil/~bruninga/aprs.html)

I have it installed in my car, it uses GPS to track my position and sends it via radio.

It's like Lo/Jack, except that it's not. IN other words, it's NOT used primarily for vehicle recovery in case of theft (but it could be...).

VSS=Vehicle Speed Sensor

Here's the wire schematic for 2003 Accord. Not sure if it works with 04 or coupe/sedan but i don't see why not.

Speed Sense .... blue/white .... ECM/PCM
**The ECM/PCM is on the front of the transmission tunnel.
**The connectors are on the passenger side.
**On the 4 cylinder models the VSS wire is in the white 31 pin connector E, pin 26.
**On the 6 cylinder models it is in the gray connector A, pin 11
