better to let a pro do this, tint is not a DIY project

SOME people ARE pro, and can handle this job very efficiently, thus it CAN be done as a DIY.

If someone has to ask how to do it, then it's not likely they have the know-how and the skills to do it right the first time.

Sure, with practice and trial/error, someone could eventually get it right, I feel pretty confident about doing the tint on the relatively flat side windows, but I would never want to tackle the compound-curved rear window, plus I'd soon have the lifetime warranty on the pricy Formula One ceramic tint film from authorized dealers/installers.

Sure, not worth my time or aggravation for a job that is only $150 for someone who is trained, and gives a lifetime warranty to do. Just my 2 cents

I certainly agree with you, I would've said same thing but, i wanted stay on topic to the OP. Asked only "any idea how i can install it myself?" I gave him an idea, showed how it can be done as a DIY, stayed on topic.

Yes, if you are asking how to do it the chances are you aren't knowledgeable. Being able to do a GOOD tint job requires lots of practice. Chances are you will get extremely impatient and fed up about half way through trying to put the first piece on your window, and you'll wish you paid someone the labor to do it.

Besides, I don't know where you would buy quality tint film (I would suggest Llumar) without buying in bulk. If you are thinking of using the cheap "Pep Boys" or "AutoZone" tint I would think twice.
