Hi everyone,

This is my first post so my apologies if it's in the wrong place.
I just bought an 07 Accord SE V6 which has the standard AM/FM, CD/Aux modes. What I'd optimally like to do is be able to listen to XM, CD, FM, and have a way to plug in my ipod while still maintaining control through the steering wheel controls. I don't know if I'd have to buy a complete replacement Honda factory stereo and have it installed or what would be the best and least expensive way to go about doing this?

Thanks

The best solution for the ipod connection is the USA SPEC interface. Myself and a few others have it, and there are few complaints.

I'm afraid I can't help with the XM though.

Are you still looking for a solution for ipod and XM?, because I have one, but I'm not going into detail if you've already figured it out.

Still looking Thomas. I was hoping people would chime in about the complaints regarding the USA Spec one. What did you do?

I have been looking at the USA SPEC and according the their website you still retain XM and CD changer use. I haven’t invested in it yet but may soon. I like how you have the iPod dock connector and an auxiliary connection.

The model is PA15-HON2, and replaces the PA11HON2Y. Currently you have two sets of presets for XM, XM1 and XM2. You would loose XM1 as that would become the iPod source. I think Amazon has it for less than $120 right now.

iSimple also makes one and it gets very good reviews:

There is also a great write up on how to install a similar device.

That's a problem because I need one that will work on a non-XM factory stereo. :(

i have the isimple kit form Best Buy that works nicely. however, I cannot confirm if it works or not on non-xm radios.

See my link at the bottom that explains your options for the Aux input on the Accord. All of the iPod connection kits (Except the iSimple (PXAMG) kit) will work with an Accord that does not have XM. The iPod module is configured to emulate an external CD changer for radios that are not XM-ready.

I have the Dice Silverline installed in my Accord which feeds both my iPod and my Delphi XM XPressRC through the additional aux input on the Dice module. Pretty much all of them have an additional aux input for any audio source, including a portable XM option.
