Retro-fitting is when you take your stock headlights, pull them apart and have a projector headlight mounted in. Then you seal back up. Projectors are those round/ball looking things on higher end cars, but now are coming to many more models (the 8th gen coupe has them for their low beams). Projectors are better than normal headlights as they are able to better direct/focus the light. With HID's this means less scattered light blinding oncoming traffic as it is properly directed out towards the road.
Options:
1) Have a shop/do it yourself: Buying projectors and have them custom mounted in your stock/oem headlights
2) Buy an aftermarket pair of headlights with the projectors already in them. A lot of them are already blacked out, etc. and then you can swap back to stock at any time.
Hope this helps, let me know if there are more questions.

I believe when you get projectors you have to swap out for a new d2s bulb that most projectors can fit. Most people go HID at that point, so no your halogens have to go..
You can use any projectors for your car really, find ones you want, talk to Caeser from lightwerkz.net and he will steer you in the right direction for your 07!
You mount them like you normally back into your car like you normally would with the OEM headlights! The wiring for the HIDs though..a bit different.
