Who has Honda mowers, ATV's, generators, outboards......????

I only have a mower....new!

Had planned on getting a generator, but gave the camper away instead. Our last outboard was a Yamaha 150V, oil injected. Current boat has a 350 Chevy I/O.

My brother took me to school in kindergarten on the back of his little Honda 50 a bizillion years ago!

Nothing yet.

But I am abusing my old mower in hopes that it will give out and I can get a new Honda!

People look at me really strange when I stare and drool over the Hondas at Home Depot! :D

I kept begging my cheapest Kmart mower to die! The thing lasted 13 years!!!! Finally this past June it died! It never had an oil change, spark plug, nothin'. I just put gas in & pulled the string......about 6-8 times, & went mowing. The Honda one, bought at Home Depot:) starts on the first pull with the choke on. As soon as it starts, set it where ever I feel like & go. It's so much quieter! It is BIGGER & harder to "drive" around the gazebo! It pulls me up the hill in the front yard! I just love it!

I've got a Toro mower, but it has a Honda Engine, if that counts. :D

OK, everyone check your mowers! I heard some of the craftsmen are Honda powered too!

Nothing wrong with Briggs engines. Cheap, reliable, rugged and designed in the US.

I've been a Honda stock owner since we bought our first Accord in 1977, but we don't overlook other cost effective products just to buy one with an "H" on it.

But many thanks, all of you, for buying the "H" products.:)

Yamaha outboard. Evinrude and Johnson were having problems with their "lost foam casting" process when I was in the market. And Yamaha gave tilt/trim, stainless prop and controls for less than competitors basic engine. It also had a proven oil injection system. This is another great engine builder. I kept waiting for them to get into the automotive arena.

yeah, the Kmart mower was a briggs& stratton. I couldn't kill it! It was probably THE most neglected little mower in the world! It was stored out in the weather, never got it's oil changed, never got a new spark plug..... Finally it seized up! It took forever! I wanted a new mower & I do all the mowing. (He got out of it years back by mowing over some plants...good plan) I just couldn't bring myself to buy a new one until the old one quit. Silly me!

i wanted a craftsman mower with a honda engine. i had to settle for a briggs and stratton engine though! still a good mower. the comparable honda mower was out of stock and $100 more... and my yard was more of a meadow than a yard since the grass was so tall! it really needed cut! :D

I have a 9yr old Lawnboy Medallion 3spd with BBC. It has a B&S 5.5 OHV 4cycle engine and still starts on the first pull always. A very nice engine, lots of torque.

I also have a low-end 20" push mower with an old style L-head 4HP Briggs engine on it. If primed correctly, it will start on the first pull also, but is not as refined an engine as the above unit. It's quality of cut is the same as my more expensive mower if I remember to keep the blade sharpened.

If anyone else is into lawnmower maintenace and repair this is a great site (http://forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/lmower/) .

It also has some excellent garden/lawn forums. By far, the most comprehensive lawn/garden/equipment site I've run across to date.

No, just the Accord and Odyssey over here.

We've got a very substantial set of hills for our yard, so I have a Toro Super Recycler with power drive and a B & S overhead valve engine. The OHV engine am assures proper lubrication even on the inclines. Great little engine. it has a bulb primer and starts right up.

Funny thing, though; my son gets a little rammy and ran the thing into the hydrant in our front yard, cracking the rocker cover. I've been waiting on a replacement part as oil is seeping out of the cover at present. Not a good situation.

illiniguy...if you need to lookup parts or manuals for your mower try this link (https://lookup2.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro). Just enter your model number. Also, in my area Ace hdwr stores are Toro/Lawnboy authorized parts/service dealers.

Until I joined the mower forums on Gardenweb, I had no idea that Toro bought Lawnboy around 1990. LawnBoy 2 cycle mowers are being phased out this year which has caused a lot of bad feelings with the green machine members on that forum.
