quikstephen, congrats on the upcoming sound!

:)

according2me, why "helm"? Is there some reason you don't want the actual Honda one?

Helm sells the actual Honda manuals.
They are the best retailer for OEM manuals you'll find on the net.

I also plan to get the service manual for my '04.

So these are the ones at the dealerships, that are used in the service dept.? That's what we have, of course. I used to buy them for nieces & nephews that had older Hondas & wanted to try to do repairs on their own.

I only have seen "American Honda" on our books. Is Helm the puplisher? Is that a brand of after market type manual?

We have several from '76-'02. Most are from the old days when he did a lot of side work. I don't think we ever bought one for the Pilot. I guess we should.

Somehow I ended up with 2 owners manuals for the '02 Accord. We left one with the car. So I still have one.

At any rate, whatever the brand, having a good service manual is a great idea!

I believe they are factory manuals.
Here's the description for the accord manual:

"An average of 1,500 pages of detailed repair instruction and diagrams written by Honda service professionals make this the best manual available for accurate repair. Each Section includes a Table of Contents, and many have a Component Location Index showing parts disassembly sequence, bolt torques, thread sizes, and page references to descriptions in text. Book includes Maintenance Schedules, Specifications, Troubleshooting, Special Tools, Removal/Installation, Disassembly and Adjustment. Repair instruction on Engine Electrical, Engine, Cooling, Fuel and Emissions, Transaxle, Steering, Suspension, Brakes including ABS, Body, Heating/Air Conditioning/Ventilation, Body Electrical and Restraints."

oh.

What color are they? I'm just trying to figure out if they are what we have. Our's don't have normally numbered pages. Each section is numbered1-??. So if you wanted trans axel, you'd look for sections 13, 14, 16 pages 1-59, 1-207, 1-26. So I have no clue how many pages there are. The 1998-2002 Accord is silver, the V6 book is separate, as is the elecrical for each. In total there are 3 books just for '98-'02 Accords. One is about 3" & the other two are about an inch thick.

Just curious.

No cover pictures on the site, just descriptions and prices.

Yes the V6 and electical diag manuals are separate supplementals.

You can click on the link I provided above and fill in the appropriate info to see what's available. But since you already have the Honda Service manual.....

I don't have the '03's yet. I looked at the site. They do appear to be real Honda ones! Yea!

The chrome rims were ordered yesterday! They'll arrive Tuesday & go on next weekend.

We also are adding "bum warmers" to the Pilot & a 6 CD changer. The Neo jukebox is just plain having too many problems. We think it's the cable & blitzsafe has offered to check & replace it if neccessary. But after having so many tunes at the finger tips, going to just 1 CD is nasty! So in the mean time we'll have a variety.

My rims arrived & will be going on tomorrow!!!! I'll post pictures soon!

The Pilot is getting wheel flares, bum warmers, hands free phone stuff, DVD wired into the NAV screen, a 6 CD changer.....all this weekend. When done I'll post the pictures of that too.

I'm not able to come up with any other wishes for my Accord.

-an intake (if i'm feeling rice one day :))

is that too much to ask for? :)

Nothings ever too much to ASK for, just as long as not getting it all doesn't ruin your day! :D

Mrs. Bean will be getting mud guards and exhaust finishers under the tree.

Romantic, huh?!

Bean! You're alive !!!!

Where have you been????

Christmas isn't a "romantic" holiday! If flaps & finishers are something SHE wants, then it's a great gift. If it's something YOU want, put your own name on it & buy her something else! Now if you did these same gifts for an anniversary you'd be beheaded!!

Hello again!!!! Glad you're back!
