Hi folks,

Hope you all doing fine. I have a problem :thumbsdow with my 09 Accord V6. The Check Engine light is coming up since 5000 miles (about 9 months ago) and stil coming up 20000 miles (Dec 2009). I took my ride to the Honda dealer and they examined the car and told me that there is a problem with a sensor and provided me with following trouble details:deal::

P2185 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit High

I said OK what next. They replaced the sensor and after few days the Check Engine light came again:furious:. I reported the problem again to the Honda dealer and left the car at workshop for examination/checking again. I think they only cleared the car computer log . I took the car and the light came up again. I also would like to mention one thing ... the Check Engine light is NOT PERMENANT it comes ON and OFF from time to time. Sometimes it lasts for a week and sometimes for a day). I have checked the TSBs issued by Honda here in DA.net and I got (TSB 09-089 and TSB 09-091) which is close to this issue, I think :dunno:.

FYI, I searched for Honda Codes provided in DA.net:

http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4692

I found that the DTC ECT Sensor P2185 does not exist and close item is:

P0118 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor Circuit High Input

So guys help pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease :paranoid:. Any comments, suggestion, guidenace will help for sure :grouphug:.

Thanx in advance. Chao:wave:.

Yours,

TheBeast.

Which sensor got changed?
The one in the engine or the one in the bottom of the radiator?

The two bulletins you list have nothing to do with your problem, and the other code you mention doesn't apply either.

I think the sensor in the bottom of the radiator was changed. Any guidenace would help.

Hi all ... I got my ride yesterday evening ... I have been informed by the dealer tech. that there was a defected/malfunctioning chip in the car computer module ... it was replaced and the CheckEngine light is not coming up anymore ... I will drive my ride for some more time just ensure that everything is OK ... FYI the charges were covered under warranty ... Thanx all and wish you a good day.

Yours,,,
