I have a 2004 i4 accord sedan. I was warming up the engine yesterday. I left my shifter at N(M/T) and pushed the accelerator. The engine was chocking at 4500rpm. Isn't the limit for 7gen accord set at 6500rpm?
I have a AEM CAI and 2.25" catback. The IAT on the aem pipe is not very tight.
Is there a leak?

In N there is a limiter at 4500rpm.
Other members experienced this and it has been confirmed as a N limiter.

Then is it just me or is the RPM limiter in an AT 7th gen set at around 5,000-5,500 RPM? I've tried this to see where it stops or chokes and I believe its hit in that range. Shouldn't a manual gear box rev higher than an automatic one? Just curious. :dunno:

4500 RPM in neutral, 6500 RPM in gear for 7th gen. four cylinder Accords.
Others chime in for V-6 because I don't know.
