After letting my fingers do the walking via the internet on getting the best deal around, I only found one dealer that was even close to where I wanted to be, price wise. This is Eskridge Honda in OKC. We bought our 02 Accord their and at that time, was the best price.
Anyway, 06 Accord, V6 EX-L, 5AT, XM, no Navi.....25,600. This includes delivery and they waive all the dreaded and stupid "document" fees...whatever that is.
I got a car price service from Consumer Reports and they claim that the real "invoice" is 24,399. Now add 550 delivery charge and document fees, we're getting real close to the 25600. I told the dealer that I knew what he paid for the car and knew what his holdback was, in this case, 817 dollars. He was pretty honest and said "I know you did your homework, but at least let us make a couple of hundred bucks." I agree with that. I mean, there is some work on their part too. Financing, I will take care of myself.
So, what do you think....I've been lurking around here for a couple of months and this price seems pretty reasonable. I've seen what others have paid for the I4 version in different parts of this country and think this is a pretty good deal.

Have you tried Mark Roberts in Bartlesville?

Ask for Adrian. Tell him Jeff sent you. Bet he will work with you.

go to www.carbuyingtips.com fill the numbers you know in on a spreadsheet. see if it works out to what they think it should be or what cr thinks it is. are you trading in a car or just buying this car outright? i know you said you are taking care of your own financing, not thru the dealership.

anyway, sounds like you have the majority of the homework done, but i'd just tkae a second and fill out the spreadsheet to see if they should be able to go any lower. i don't like the feeling i get from them saying "but atleast let us make a couple hundred bucks". that leaves a bad taste in my mouth no matter how good of a deal it is! :paranoid:

Thanks, I'll try mark roberts. Not too far from Chickasha...if I can save a couple of hundred bucks, well worth the trip

Talk with Adrian at Mark Roberts.

Fowler seems to be wanting me to buy a car from them real bad. I contacted them on Accords and Civics. Internet guy started talking in emails,, let me get with the service manager crap. I typed a choice few words to him and just set back and watch him beg for contact.

Well, I emailed Mark Rogers and wow, they beat the Eskridge price by 600 bucks. So, I basically sent that email to Eskridge and told them that they would have to beat this price or I'm driving to Bartlesville, which is about 190 miles from Chickasha, but to save 600 bucks, money well spent. Anyway, they matched it waived all "other" fees. 24999 OUT THE DOOR. The only bummer is that I got the "I have one in stock, please hurry and let me know" speal. I mean, as long as I buy this year, price isn't going to change for the 06 model, right? Was wanting to wait and buy one after January.

Price can change daily. Mark Roberts is pretty stable. But as youve seen the 1st dealer is very liquid. Thats why I go to Mark Roberts. They seem honest and ready to do there best out the blocks for you. The OKC dealer didnt did they? I wouldnt purchase from the OKC dealer. They made me waiste my time to get a good price. Roberts didnt. Im in Okmulgee so B'ville I will a go.

Enjoy your new ride.

Yeah, but sometimes I worry about warranty work.
