I was just killing some time on this rainy day when i was checking out the mazda6 forum (www.mazda6club.com) ...ok ok i have no life..

actually i was seriously considering a mazda6 before honda won my money..:D

anyways.. apparently mazda6's have a major and serious problem involving RUST!! several if not hundreds of owners are discovering rust forming in the door frames and trunk areas of their cars... from the sounds of it, it involves how the car was put together at the manufacturing stage..

It also appears to be coming from within the run channels along the doors... The forum lit up like a x-mas tree with members chking their cars and finding the rust too...

I feel bad for those owners... sure glad i went with a honda!!!:D

Interestingly enough, it was Mazda owners who spent 4 or so years saying the same thing about their cars when it came out that Honda screwed up BIG TIME on hundreds of thousands of automatic transmissions.

No car is perfect; they're designed by people, and are people are subject to error.

As the saying goes, pride goeth before a fall. Don't stand too proud on your Honda ownership, as you're entirely likely to be the next guy standing there holding the bag on a valueless car should it turn out that Honda screwed up. And you won't know it until it happens.
