Yes I believe they do have a little bit softer glass than others but you will find that AP Tech is appearing on a lot of domestics...
All the newer Vettes have AP glass.

Maybe you guys could chat through PM's instead, so the rest of us don't have to scroll through pages of off-topic posts to see if there is pertinent info posted...???:(
Not that the little chit chat isn't entertaining, but if you want the rest of us to read it, you should set up an off-topic thread of your own.
Just a suggestion...

I voted "other" because my one accessory would be...
...no accessory. I keep mine as stock as the day they rolled off the line. No rims, aftermarket stereos, etc.
Although, that bra might have been nice years ago...but I've come to love the little chips.

Already have!
I really should have taken care of it - oh, about 3 years ago - but I didn't get around to it. Even bought all the supplies to take care of it...oh well.
I'm looking forward to improved fuel economy from the reduced weight once the rust really does its work!

Since I bought my car a few weeks ago, I've only wanted to do 2 things to it: tint the rear 3 windows, and replace the audio system entirely. The latter will have to wait until I have more $$$ though.
Thought about rim replacements but the factory alloys actually look pretty good, despite being 15's. Keeps the tire costs down, too.

My silver '02 looked much better with the tint on the rear... we debated about the wheels & left them on. Changed them to the Honda chrome on the '03 though. When you change your sound system, start with the speakers.... the stock head unit isn't bad with better speakers!
In the gallery somewhere is pix of the '02. She had a spoiler too.... & foglights.:)

Found the pic of your old '02 - looks almost exactly like my own! You're right about the tint; it sure does look good on silver.
I won't put a spoiler on mine, though. One of my biggest pet peaves in car design is putting a rear deck spoiler on a front drive car. Sure it looks good, but from a functional standpoint, it contradicts general laws of physics (rear end downforce reduces front end traction). I know most spoilers aren't designed to produce downforce, but that's why it bugs me. All that extra weight and cost just for show!

I still like how they look.... the rear of the sedans are an odd combo of blunt & rounded....
:)
The leather in the '02 seemed like sturdier stuff than the '03.... I bet it'll outlast it too! We're very careful & treat it often, so I plan on it lasting forever!!;)
