Very nice p!

If I may make a suggestion...get the locks for those wheels!
Where did you get your exhaust tips?

Bean

Concord Honda sure is pimping itself w/ your ride!
Where are your plates?

Bean,

Thanks! Boy you're quick! I just put those on!

The tips are from the Honda dealer. They're actually from the '02. I kept them when she hot traded.

She sleeps in the garage. We're still debating about the wheel locks. I'm a pretty quick shopper & I'm out in daylight. So I'm not convinced I need them. About the only place she's left alone for long is at the hotel in Anahiem when we're at Disneyland. Our next trip will be in Dec. I'll think about it.

Later I'll be posting SCARY pictures.... the Pilot is getting a few things added & is apart.

My plates are taking FOREVER!!!

Concord Honda really is a great dealer. It's NOT the one where the prince works. They have lost 3 sales from us. They don't give any break to employees & they cost more than others.

Concord took my picture with the car when we picked her up & then sent me a coupon book for 15% off anything in parts & service. They also have called several times to make sure I'm happy. The first oil change is free.... They care. I like that! Even though I made them get my car from another dealer down south, they didn't charge anything extra. If anyone in this area is looking to buy a Honda, ask for Sal. He's great!

Wardsweb,

Thank you! I like how Honda did the chrome this time. I do wish they'd made the "H" stand out a bit more. It could have been brushed or black, instead it's the same stuff. I guess not even spolied little me can have everything!!

I finally got my plates!!!! Now she doesn't have to be "babysat" when we're in a parking lot! We made it these first 2 months without a single ding!!! (This is a biggie for us due to the fact the '02 got 3 dings BEFORE she got her plates.)

Nice, the wheels are not my style though. How much were they? Honda should have made them at least 18", the new Accord looks too big for such small wheels!!!

princess
11-12-2003, 05:04 PM
I wanted to stay with Honda ones. I think they were about 330 each. I opted to not go bigger because with past cars it changed the handling & this one has such nice handling!!

Could you post a nice side profile shot with the new wheels? I'm bidding on a set on eBay, would love to see some more pics of them on your car! :)

Thanks much!

Much appreciated. :)

Wheels look great. I've decided to go back to 16" for ride comfort (the 17's are nice to look at, but I like the ride with the 16's better.)

Thanks again!

No problem....both "babies got baths yesterday! Not detailed, maybe next time.

The car handles like a dream & we really didn't want to mess with that! Changing sizes in tires/rims CAN change how they handle.

You found actual Honda chrome rims on ebay? When we were shopping a few months back, all we could find were after market. I really wanted to stick with Honda ones. I just liked them!:D

Yup. Just like yours.. genuine Honda accessory wheels. Brand new with a 12 month warranty thru any Honda dealer. If all goes well, I should have them later this week. :D

Thanks again,

MackDaddy, after seeing your gallery with the P5, WRX, 00 SE, and other cars, you are the last person I think of that would trade 17's for 16's for ride quality. No offense or anything, just something that hit me immediately and made me laugh a little bit lol.

Does it really make a big difference? I hear a lot of people saying that coilovers and bigger wheels improve the ride quality significantly in the 6th gen Accord. I don't know how, it's already damn good. Handling could use work but that's the opposite of ride quality isn't it?

The larger (and heavier) wheels & tires I've got are hands down a detriment to both acceleration & braking. As far as ride quality goes, it was about the same as my stock 16's. This is because I spent a small fortune $$$ on top of the line Michelin Pilot Sport All Season tires in 225/50/17. They really are nice riding tires, but are noisier than the stock setup.

All of the attributes are purely subjective from one individual to the next. ;)

Why not get some CP-035's for the price? Or something cheaper like Rota's? Maybe even TE37's!! *dreaming* haha

I did get a really good deal on the 17" OE Honda SilverStar wheels. none the less, I'm happy with the stock 16" wheels. ;)

Thanks... I really didn't work on it. Just washed, dried & then one round of the spray on stuff. She's getting due for her big Spring cleaning & treatment. The sides are slightly shinier than the tops..... but it's been since Sept. I think since she had a full round of all the steps, so that's not too bad. He won't "let" me do it though.....I'm too generous with the stuff.... So we are planning to devote a weekend to the Hondas soon. His needs is more than mine. But after this his should last just as long since she's now being parked inside at work all day long!

Now we have the new Z8 to try!

I honestly don't think the shots do it justice.... we're pleased with the way the finish turned out! Even better than last season!!

Being a rainy day, I didn't get any shots with some sunshine to see the sparkle. :(

After we were done we went to lunch....in the Pilot......it was raining....didn't want to get Tink icky!!!! :D

That looks fantastic. :notworthy There's no question that Zaino works. Now about those tires......... :naughty:

princess
04-24-2005, 05:54 AM
Thank you, I really like the stuff!

When I saw the pictures after posting them.....it was uh-oh, forgot something....so now the tires have also had their Zaino tire dressing put on. So they look like new again.... Depending on how many puddles I go through it lasts pretty well, so I don't need to redo it on every wash.... it's not part of the routine. The rims usually just need a good drying. When new I used a couple coats of Rain Dance paste wax on them & they haven't needed it again. I think I'll do them next time though....not wait until they're begging! :)

Hey Princess- how long did it take your Prince to install the spoiler? I've decided to get one, but I am going to have someone install it for me (not the dealer!!), so I kinda want to get an idea of what the labor charges could be.

Thanks a bunch!

princess
04-26-2005, 09:41 AM
Oh it's been a while...& I had a hard time watching the holes get drilled into my new car..... but if I remember correctly about an hour or so. Honda's "replacement" time is only .4 hours, but that's after the holes are there. I can't find the flat rate for it. You can call a dealer & ask before making an appointment. I would say along the lines of 1.5-2.0 hours.....but I'm not really sure. :dunno:

Inspector1
04-26-2005, 11:52 AM
Installing a spoiler should take no longer than 1.5 Hr labor time, but if you do it correctly it can take up to overnight(depending on how well you want the holes touched up(paint dry time).
Mine took about 45 minutes to change springs, mark and drill holes, dress up holes before painting and paint. I let it dry 4hrs then re coated and let dry overnight. The next day about 15 minutes to mount and secure wiring.

50-60 bucks would be a fair price..

My 2cents
