Hi,
I want to get a CAI for my 2005 coupe V6, either the V2 or the injen. How hard is it to get to the filter after install for cleaning the filter. That is a deciding factor for me before I go for it. Thanks.

That is precisely why I went with an AEM short ram this time. Both previous cars had a cold air intake and were a major pain to access/clean the filter.
The gains from a CAI are better but weren't worth it to me this time around.

Im not sure, but you may be able to get to it thru the fenderwall or just get under the ar. Otherwise just take the intake off if you have to clean the filter.....the biggest pain in the ass of the install is really getting all of the OEM stuff outta the way, taking the CAI off wont take long.

Let's talk common sense here.........anytime the filter is in a fender well it's a pain in the ass to remove & put back. In some instances simply putting the clean filter back on the intake pipe crushes it, after you've done the contortionist moves to remove it. You can't see it so looks don't really matter but it may affect performance in a miniscule way.
With the V-6 the gains may outweigh the pains. For my 4 banger, it did not.

On my TSX, the CAI filter is simple to get to. A few body clips on the inner fender wall a bolt or two underneath, pull the plastic back and there it is.
I'll be doing the Fujita install this weekend, its probably identical...

See, for me that's too much trouble. I suppose it all boils down to what each person thinks is easy or a PITA.
That Fujita looks like a very nice unit. Let us know if you notice any performance difference after it's installed.

Yea, I could see if it was something that I needed to do once a week or even a month I would think its a PITA, but I only need to do this once a year. And even when I do, it only takes me about 5 mins to get to it.
