Does anyone know any good sources for extended warranties for Honda's? My 2003 Accord is brand new but I was looking at purchasing a warranty for when the standard one runs out. I want to find a cheaper one outside of the dealership. Any ideas or links to go to?

If you get an extended warranty, make sure you read the fine print. Remember, these are often offered by companies that don't expect you to use it. Make sure all components are covered that are NOT wear and tear. Conversely, make sure all components covered are big bucks repair items( AC, Fuel inj, CV joints, etc.). If you find one, then pay the bucks, it'll be worth it.

There is an excellent forum on Odyclub about warrantees. You can find places to buy a genuine Honda extended warranty

I remember also from one of the Acura boards that you can buy all Honda warranties from www.acurawarranty.com as well.

Extended warranties are almost always a rip off. Especially when you buy a well made product like a Honda. You'd be better off investing the purchase price of the warranty in a decent mutual fund and hedging that against any future big ticket repairs. Most inherent faults become evident during the new car warranty period and would be covered anyway. Just my .02

Kind of an interesting connundrum. When I bought my 01 CR-V, I decided to go with an extended warranty policy at 7/100/0, just because it was cheap enough to make sense. The wife's going to be driving it, so I don't want to have to deal with the least thing not being right ("honey, I think I heard a rattle" syndrome).
Not that Hondas have much to worry about, my last Civic went 196K, and is now happily owned by a family over 500 miles away.

I purchased Honda wrap on my certi car 695.00 100,000 w/ 0 deductable...
It's a wise choice if you purchase vehicle with alot of power accessories.. EX, LX --sunroof, power windows,ABS
DX Models I would Hesitate to spend the money, not too many extras (electronic goodies) to have problems.
It's funny they wanted over 1000.00 more for extended on 03 model.. I guess not knowing the history on new design is a bigger gamble for them.
My 2 cents
