need to know how much horsepower the 1992 honda accord can handle. i'm trying for 350 but don't know if i can go that high. (trying to beat my sisters mustang) :naughty: i want to put an h22 from the prelude but was told that it requires a lot of fabrication and moving stuff around

The amount of horsepower it can handle is relative to the amount of money you have.

Hahahaha great one!

Dude if you want some ponies, get a 7th gen V6 in there, get yourself a racing chip, a nice cold air intake, lower the car, and get some DC headers, and a catback... Now thats horsepower! Hahaha :lmao: :lmao:

If you really want to talk with people about power, you should probably try V6performance.net. Or Vtec.net We're pretty plain jane here. Most of us are either calm young people, or middleagers...:lmao:

Hey bro! Is your sisters Mustang a V6 or the GT model?? If it's the V6, you won't have to invest much.....

The H22 is almost a direct swap into an Accord....you can also get an F20, which is very similar in HP to the H22, but it's a 2.0L engine. It was in the Accord Type R in Japan, it's a DOHC VTEC too.

But like accord4life said, I'd start out with a decent Cold Air Intake, DC-Sports Headers, the ceramic ones keep the heat in better than the stainless, but you can always get header wrap, which works better than the ceramic, and the Cat. Back exhaust, I got 2" from the converter back, w/ a nice muffler (not an angry weedeater kind) for around $500, if you get the cat back, make sure ya pay the extra like 20$ for them to put the coating on it.

Which engine do you have? I have the F22B2 and I'm pullin on V6 Stangs w/ bolt ons and an ECU upgrade.

Get an H22, turbo'd, built, n sprayed, and go after the Cobra's :-D.....God I wish I had $$$ :( lol

I was thinking of doing a H22 or a F20 swap to my 91 Accord. What would be required to fit them in properly?

HAsport probably makes mounts for them. It's pretty straightforward, just gotta get all the electrical done and either HAsport or custom mounts.

Hey! I'd go with the H22.....More tourqy than the F20, but some people love their F20's...

If it's the V6, start out with a 40mph roll lol....they don't have much, they're only advantage is from a dead stop, super crappy transmission on em too, that's why my brother got rid of his.

If it's a V8, build it a lil, then spray it lol....I know someone who has used a 50 shot of NOS on a pretty much stock F22, Intake headers and exhaust, 211,000 miles still going strong.

I'mma see if I can find a thread from another site, you might just want to look into a good turbo kit for your existing motor if it is in good shape, there's an F22 pushing 360 hp, but if you want to go all out, get a JDM H22.

Pick up a copy of the March Import tuner, there's a 300hp H22 Lude, and an H22 650 powered drag Civic that runs 10.23 @ 143 mph in the quater mile, so it can definitely handle the power with the right parts/internals/tuning.
