Hi,

Would anyone happen to have the schematic of the power side mirror?
Thanks a bunch...

thank you! :notworthy

I am also looking for a schematic of the auto-tilt down module.. I know they have it in Japan, but i wanna make it myself...

in case you don't know what i am talking about, it's the feature which when car is put in reverse, the passenger side mirror turns down almost all the way, for parking purposes, and then when put out of reverse, it moves the mirrors back up to the original position... :dunno:

Sorry, I can't get that for you... I'd never heard of it & it's not on their site!

Funny though.... In some cases I do that with a mirror... these cars (7th gen) are tough for me to park straight!! So sometimes I feel the need to look....to make sure I'm between the lines just right! It's the only car I've even had to do that!

oh... it's ok... but next time u happen to be in a BMW, Lexus or a higher end Acura, watch for it... it's standard on BMWs and Lexus' tho...

I have some trouble with parking too... but not with the "straightness", but more of how far i need to go back b4 i hit the wall... i only back in when i park... o_O

Although I'm lousy at driving backwards....I can park backwards well! It's weird. I couldn't back a trailer if my life depended on it... I go all zig-zaggy in a car if I need to back too far.... but I can place my car exactly where I want in if I back into the garage! (which I do when the trunks full after shopping) :lmao:

We have a fairly short, steep driveway & the tinted windows make for a dark garage even in the daylight.... but I get it centered there! :dunno:

parking is not a problem for me either... but you know, it's one of those tiny little things that i want in my vehicle...
but it's ok... if i ever figure it out... maybe i'll post it on here and show other ppl how to do it...

My mirrors are PERFECT. I don't know if Honda did it intentionally but...When the top front passenger door's trim molding (painted protector trim thingy) lines up exactly with where the mirror starts to curve down on the left side edge, I can back up perfectly. Where the crease in the side of the body is, that is exactly where the rear bumper is. So if I see that the crease in the door molding is at the end of the curb in the mirror (while it's adjusted like I said), the rear bumper is at the end of the curb as well. I love it

wow.. i had to read that 3 times just to kinda understand it... I guess the 7th gen mirror just don't completely satisfy me...

ah well.. this is just one of the flashy things i wanted to do for my car...

That would be a nice mod, if we could ever figure it out...
I agree with Benjiboy, the shape of the rear panels makes it so easy to judge where your bumper is. It's easier to park than my old Civic, I could never judge where the RR corner was on that car for some reason.

My Mirrors on my 1996 are so big that it causes a blind spot. Minor though. I can par that car VERY easily though!!!
