Hey,

Does anybody know the fuse that can be used for the radar in Accord'06 to run it only when the car is started?

Any help is appreciated.

Happy holidays!

Unfortunately, not.

However, due to a holiday season I do have a radar.
I really doubt that any of car manufactors will ever put factory installed radar to any car.

However, I can't find any fuses that will start together with the engine. All of them are working all the time. I guess it is somewhere on the computer level where the electricity chain get broken.

use a test light or voltmeter to seee which fuses power up with the key on.

Oh I got it.

You mean radar detector. I thought you meant something else.

If you don't mind the detector on with the Accessory switch, you can tap into the power outlet. That is the easiest way.

I'll second that idea(best way)

Just pay attention to which circuit you are adding it to and carry spare fuses!

I think he knows about those, but he wants it ONLY when the engine is on (ie. key on and engine off shouldn't work). But if not, you can use the fuel pump fuse or I think I also remember seeing a fuse for the coil or spark in my car.

I know I'm dredging up an old thread, but I ran into this problem myself and simply wired to the power port directly. It is ignition switched, not "constant hot." (At least in my 05 Accord).
