You blew a fuse. Look down in the engine bay and the foot-wells, or check your manual if you're not sure.

On the left side under the steering column there is a fuse box and one under the hood.

Just get a flashlight and look at the fuse. If you can tell it's burnt or if the filament is broken, that's your fuse.

okay so the outlet next to the ashtray is called:
Front Assessory Power Socket-on the driver's side

the outlet in the middle console is called:
Rear Assessory Power Socket-on the passenger's side

Now i dont see where the radio fuse is labeled and im looking at the online manual too. is it under another name?

Did you even read the manual I linked above? :headbash:

Radio, Page 376
Fuse #15 Backup, 10A
Location: Under-hood fuse box

Power Outlets, Page 377
Fuse #23 Front Accessory Power Socket, 15A
Location: Driver's Side

I don't mean to be rude, but as the old adage says, teach them how to fish rather than giving them the fish. Please replace the fuse with the correct Amperage. Hope you can fix your problem!

Check Fuse #12 in the Passenger's side Fuse box as well. It's for the power socket in the console (your arm rest)

You have a blown fuse somewhere, you just need to start looking at all of them, not just where people guess. Look at the bigger main fuses too.

I'm assuming you didn't install the amp yourself, you might ask the people who installed it what circuit they tapped into.

checked all fuses. this is really confusing

and what do you mean by what circuit did they use?

Well, the Amp has to get it's power from somewhere. When you touched the ground wire to that one positive wire, the fuse attached to that positive wire is what blew. If you know where they wired up the positive wire, then there's your answer.

ohhh. well there is a fuse block next to the battery for the amp's power. so maybe thats it. would that explain why my outlets arent working too?

I'm having same problem (08 Accord EX-L), both power outlets and radio are dead. I've checked all fuse, under hood, including multi fuses, driver side and passenger side. As much as I dont want to I might take it to the dealer

I figured it out. After endless trouble shooting it ended up being a loose fuse (was not making a good connection) Was a 7.5A #18 driver side. Controls the relay for the outlets and radio.
