205/60/16 is the size on these tires. Everything came from the Tire Rack. Purchased last year and have 5,000 miles on them. Alignment was performed before installation. There is no unusual wear and they are smooth on the road--no vibrations.

Michelin X-Ice tires were number one (1) rated by Consumer Reports this year. I had the Blizzaks on my prior car. The Blizzaks are nice in deep snow. They aren't good on dry roads or in the rain at all. As well, they wear out quickly and once they are half gone, they become an all season tire.

The Michelin X-Ice has performed excellent in snow and ice on our 2004 Accord EXl-V6 Sedan.

I paid $564 a year ago and am looking for $450. I was asking $350 as part of a sale WITH my car. Since I took them off, cleaned them up and realized how much I paid, I increased the price. You will get the hubcaps I bought with them. Note that one had some curb rash, but isn't that bad. Noticable, but not bad.

I'm sorry, but at this point, I'm not interested in shipping these. I'll meet you within 25 miles of my house, but that's all I have time for (work is busy now) right now. Sorry.

By the way, don't waste time on the receipt---I don't live there anymore. I live in Chicago-land in the South suburbs off of 80 and 55, near Plainfield

? How much tread is left to the snow wear bars @ 7000 miles of wear ?
**** From Tire rack *******
NOTE: Snow platform indicators (the equivalent of "snowwear bars") are molded into the X-Ice's tread grooves to inform the driver when ice and snow traction will be reduced as the tire's tread wear reaches the point where the remaining tread depth becomes less effective in deep snow.

Just wondering??

You're looking at it---look at the penny in the tread. That's on TOP of the wear bar. There's a TON of tread left. These hardly even look like they were used. My old Blizzaks weren't bad after 7k, but they had more wear on them; that's for sure.

BTW---I edited my post because my wife just informed me that there's only 5k of wear based on our maint./rotation records.

We'll talk in a few weeks if you still have these.

Looking forward to it. Perhaps I'll be more flexible with my schedule then, too.

5000 Miles is not bad at all, but from their description there are 2 sets of wear bars one for the snow and one for overall tread :dunno:
In my snow tire research all the standard snow tires have whats called a half life on the outer snow traction layer and then you proceed to a more all season compound. Thats why I opted for the Green Diamonds no half life just traction all the way down. I have even read where some use bald GD's for Ice racing due to the carbide grit embedded all the way thru the outer casing.

Just wondering?

Interesting. I went to TireRack and read what you read and then walked out to my garage to see if I could find two tread bars, and I can't. I see the one I spoke to earlier, but that's it. I checked three tires just to be sure I wasn't going insane.

I know what you/they are talking about b/c the Blizzaks had that setup and when they got to the first bar, they were hardly even all season tires.

5,000 miles? That's not enough wear to even worry about. Oh well...

The second set of wear bars isn't a bar at all.. It is the amount of tread left on each block in the tread as determined by the sipes (the little zig-zag cuts in the tread blocks). This second set of treads is what gives the tire better snow and ice traction and is usually not as deep as the treadwear indicators between the tread blocks. Judging by your pics, there is still plenty of tread left in these tires!

Ok now I see so you get about 5/32 of snow traction on these.. I marked the picture.
