Aight guys i have another question my friends car just got stolen and he got his car back but his going to get a new car his car is identical to mines except mine is a Dx and his is an Ex he have power windows!?!? i'm thinking just taking his whole door would that be too much problem or will it be easy to install!? and another thing i might swap engines because i heard he has low miles if so he has a sitck and i have an auto will that be too much money to do all that?! but my real question is the switch tha doors thing how much or how long with that take!? thanx agian guys?!

Although the doors themselves are compatible you would not have full function of the "power" equiptment unless you also replace at least part of the MICS. The windows would not roll down with the key fob without replacing the parts of the computer that controls it.

The unbolting & rebolting the doors isn't hard. You will likely need to pay close attention to the alignment so you don't damage door # 2 first time you go to close it. Then adjust it better after it's on.

You'd also need to do all this without the interior panels on so the wires could be hooked to the power supply.

Not impossible..... but more to it than simply undoing the hinges!:)

You could ask at a body shop to find out more details on the length of time involved.

The windows roll down with the keyfob? Someone enlighten me? My '99 EX I4 doesn't do that, wish it did though!!!

The '03's fob will roll down the windows by holding the unlock button down a few extra seconds. I think you need to have the 3 button fob....lock, unlock & trunk buttons. Love it on hot days!!!

I have those three buttons. I thought the 03+ Accord's have a built in fob on the key, Mercedes style.

Exactly... it's still called a "fob". I think just the "all in ones" have the ability to roll down the windows.

hello all, im new to this forum and i had just a few quick questions, i have a 99 accord LX and i wanted to know if i had keyless entry, when i put the key in the door and turn it to the right for a few seconds, one door unlocks or ALL doors can unlock, when i purchased the car i got no remotes, also, if i don have keyless entry, do you know if the 03+ "all in one" remotes are compatible with the 99?

You don't have keyless entry unless someone else installed it...but shouldn't come from the factory with it.
