Hey guys so i had a little fun painting my Engine cover two weekends ago..

I used OEM paint, from PaintWorldInc.com.. Color Matched

I have to say it looks really nice... :thmsup:

Thanks Mark, You should do it i really looks nice.. When I open my engine everytime i wash my car it just stands out.. looks really clean and simple/ but nice.

Yeah i ended up doing it.. I did it a while back but just didn't get around to uploading the pictures.

I am going to be using the same color for the brake calipers but i am going to do it right and just get the G2 paint.. custom it's about $114 shipped. Color matched.

Yeah i clean the engine bay every time i clean the car.. I use Plain Water and sometime i use degreaser to remove the hard OIL stains.. The more often you clean the engine the easier the cleaning get's.

My question is, how well will it hold up to the engine heat?

So far it's holding up pretty good..

I painted it about 2 1/2 weeks ago.. and I just took a 500 miles road trip Non-Stop each way and looks just like i painted.. Shinny

I used HIGH TEMP PLASTIC Premier and i used High TEMP Plastic Flex Clear Coat..

Just go the Homedepo or autozone and get some High Temp Premier/ and clear coat for plastic..

Yes i Water my Engine and clean it.. Same for the plastics

i paint it the same colour as my SRI, which is red, inside a black car lol....

Red is good :) but Im thinking more of my favorite color which is Dodger blue :) idk yet

i painted mine metallic purple/with silver flakes back in june. to lazy to clear coat it though. Goes great with a black accord.

One of the easiest mods you can do. I redid mine about 6 month ago and kind of went a little crazy....

Yeah man just give them your paint code and they will send you a Aerosal Can of paint, just like spray paint and just PREP and PAINT
