Maybe Bean melted in the FL sunshine!
There's been others on most of the times I've been on this week. More readers than posters apparently though.... On Monday when I came on there were 6.

Hey Bean,
Any suggestions on what kind of gear we should be packing for an end of July trip to Orlando???

Bean,
Great to finally hear from you! Have you been ill? Gone?? Busy??
Not this time. We're flying to DC, then on to Orlando & WDW. We did the Space Center & the Atlantic last time... in '00. We flew to Orlando Dec. '01 just to prove to ourselves we weren't going to "let them win". This time it's to play tourist.
I know it rains most afternoons in July. We love the thundery storms! Lightning is much more rare here!
So do we pack a combo of sunscreen & light rain gear, like I suspect??
Hey princess,
Sorry for the long break between posts.
I have been dealing w/ alot of issues at work lately that have been eating my lunch.
I will be back shortly, when I can devote more time.
As for your trip, I'd say skip the rain gear. The showers in the summer are like clockwork, but they pass very quickly...like in 5-10 mins. Figure anywhere from 3-5 your likely to get some showers. Plenty of places to get shelter at Disney!

Bean:
you call those rain showers?!?!? lol :D we're talking almost needing Noah's ark somewhere in florida everyday... :lmao:
Sorry for not responding for so long, but I'm still here.
We had alot of damage from hurricane Frances a couple weeks ago. Most all of our trees are gone and we had no power for a week. The house just lost 10-12 shingles, so I feel very lucky.
The eye of the storm actually went right over us.
It was without question one of the scariest moments of my life...and I don't scare easily.

Sorry to hear about the damage, but REALLY thankful you're OK!! I've been hoping the storm "troopers" would check in soon. There's still some we haven't heard from...
