For those of you who's thinking of trying this out, don't bother. The wax is easy to apply but it's very hard to remove!

I got a couple bottles of this stuff for free so this past weekend I decided that it's time to clay and wax the car... I spent about 3 hours prepping the car for the wax (wash, rinse, dry, de-tar, de-bug, light rinse, clay, rinse, dry). When I started using the wax, it wasn't that hard to put on, but it took me forever to take off! :alien: I only let it dry for 5-10 minutes and the surface was cool to the touch. When I tried to remove the wax, it would leave a bunch of spots on the surface that's next to impossible to remove without some elbow grease. I only did 1/3 of the hood before giving up on it and used 3M wax instead. I'm guessing that it's hard to remove to wax because of the clayed surface, but none of the other waxes I've used are this hard to remove on any surface! As for the shine, it left a greasy film on the surface (not unlike rain-X), and I didn't think it shined that great.

Now I just got to wait until Target clearances their Zymol Wax for $3.75 again! I grabbed the last two bottles from them the last time...

Last time I was at Target they had a box of Zymol wax/leather cleaner/condition/etc for like $10 bucks. I got the last box (the wood box even said Zymol on it!)

Try putting the wax over the 3M yet? :dunno:

The 3M is the wax...

I plan on trying the BM Titanium on it again this weekend, but from what I heard on the other forums, it's not just me having trouble taking the wax off...

I love visiting Target in the Fall since they always clearance a lot of their car detailing products... I got a few bottles of Turtle Wax Platinum Car Detailer for $1.24 a bottle and they had a $5 rebate off 3, too! It too bad their automotive section is so tiny.

Thanks for the heads up! I still think the Wet Paint is the best I've come across but I still try new things.....this won't be one of them.

Well if you put the Black Magic over a slippery surface, wouldn't it be easier to get off?

That's what I'm hoping.

I tried putting a second layer on after I buffed off the first layer and it was just slightly easier to take off. I'm going to try it again this weekend if it gets warm again.
