Thanks imagohp 02-08-2006, 07:20 PM Anybody? stevencrosbie 02-08-2006, 07:41 PM I had black ones on my old Accord....the dealer put them on for free. They keep the edges of your doors from chipping when you swing the door into something..... I don't have them on the new car for 3 reasons. 1. Car is white and those will not look good 2. I am the only driver and rarely park next to people...no need to worry 3. Did not want to pay for them If you want protection....I've seen that the same 3M clear bra material can be applied around the edges of the door..... snakehair 02-09-2006, 02:33 AM I have the color matching ones on my car. I think they add something to the looks. Not too worried about chipping door edges, but they definitely will help there. Not too big a job and quite reasonable to buy on line. princess 02-10-2006, 08:26 AM My '02 had color matched ones....this one didn't come with them, but we added them. They help some with the chipping on the edges. I got them to keep the boys from doing damage. I'm glad I have them since the garage is pretty crowded & I'd hate to see a chip from things close by....like a paino, a saw, a freezer, a work bench...... Usually I open the doors for the boys...but sometimes they get pretty anxious to go with me places & get in QUICK!! Since I dry & detail in the garage, I can open doors without a constant fear of hitting something! ratlram 02-10-2006, 02:21 PM I have the color match ones that I bought from Ray Laks Honda. They look a lot better than the non color match ones. Are they really important? That's up to you. If your the finicky type, who doesn't like to see chips and dings, I'd say go for it! n1accord 02-10-2006, 02:55 PM I have the color match ones that I bought from Ray Laks Honda. My '79 Cheyenne had chrome ones. For the Accord, these vertical strips break up the clean visual lines, but if you need the protection, color-matched would be imperative. |
