Those of you who have the 06 model Accords and hate those damn daytime running lights could just go out and get a set of headlights styled for an 03-05 right? Just pull the bulb out and tape off the connector and attach it to something else so the wont move. Can this be done? Do all of the headlight bulbs match the 06 headlights? Someone fill me in, cause when I get my 06, this may be the first thing I do.
Or of course you could just pull it on the new headlight and leave the stock lights in......either way

What would be the point of all that? The DRL is a computer controlled item, they'd work if you put in projectors and HID's.

the DRL doesnt really bother me, infact i actually like it.

how can you hate them? you can't see them unless you're driving behind a mirror. I am happy I have them...but I actually don't use them since I always have the headlights on anyway.

The DRLs don't bother me at all. :dunno: I don't know why they'd be a bother...

Like ben said, the DRL is computer controlled. light bulbs and assemblies have nothing to do with it. In fact, I'm 99.9999999% sure the headlight assemblies are exactly the same from 03 to 06+. If you take out the DRL bulb, you will loose high beams too.

Well, it was just an idea.....I dont like drl's....and since Id lose the high beam, I guess I wont do it.

I dont like always having a headlight on. Id rather work them the way I want to.

well trust me they aren't headlights and they won't do much for you at night time, plus your tail lights aren't always on. You still need to turn on the lights at night. The good think about DRL is that you are more visible to other drivers in the day time.
BTW...what's the deal with people driving with parking lights on? aren't parking lights for parking?

I like driving with the parking lights on as the sun is going down....makes for some good pics, too

I think it's illegal in some places to drive with parking lights...and if it makes for taking great pics what are you doing running along side your car while driving and taking pics at the same time.

So i was thinking, I guess you dont like it cuz it doesnt appeal to you or it doesnt seem "cool". The DRL is there for safety purposes and i rather like it, I wish more cars had the DRL on.

I'm a little bit like Jerry Seinfeld....I seem to over think and analyze everything. I'm just trying to figure out what everyones logic for something something is.

Well WTF are you talking about, I asked what's the deal with "DRIVING" with the parking lights on. You said "I like driving with the parking lights on as the sun is going down....makes for some good pics"

I had DRLs on my last car and I disabled them because the car ate bulbs for breakfast since they were always on. Also, people still pulled right out in front of me all the time. After I disabled them my bulbs didn't go out again.

Never said you had to be driving to take pics, but my question was what's the purpose of "driving" with "parking" lights, since they are for parking? oh well if you don't know the answer to that then don't worry about it.

I drive with parking lights on sometimes. There's nothing wrong with it. If I'm wearing sunglasses, the gauges get hard to see and the parking lights just help me see them without blinding everyone else with headlights. Besides, the guy has a point, lights cost money! Bulbs + decreased gas mileage.
I like DRL's because everybody else is an idiot. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to disable them on my own car though. Yeah I know, surprising coming from a previous DRL advocate :lmao:

I don't care for the DRLs either. People around here seem to become lazy & won't turn their headlights on (so their taillights are on) early enough or when it's raining. They think that they have their "headlights" on & everything is fine. I just don't like the idea of being able to decide if I want my lights on.
I drive with my parking lights on sometimes b/c in my Grand Am the fog lights come on with the parking lights & that is all that is needed sometimes.

Pull the fuse, pop out the module...but please Honda, not another switch. Besides, I save on my insurance with DRLs

I also don't care for DRL's. If you want to disable them the instructions for doing so are posted here: http://www.lightsout.org/disable.html.
