I don't think there will be much interest in a Taurus here, but I'll give it a shot. This is my parents' car. They only have a need for one car now, so they're keeping their Accord and selling their Taurus. Here are the details:

1994 Taurus Wagon GL with 64,500mi. $1,200 or best offer.

3.8L V6, a/c, pw, pdl, power driver’s seat, cloth interior, rear defroster, rear wiper, third seat, tailgate release, cargo cover, aluminum wheels, am/fm/cassette. Everything works.

One owner. In good condition overall. Transmission rebuilt at about 37,000mi.

It is tan with a tan interior.

It runs fine now – but will need a head gasket at some point – the usual 3.8 problem. Beyond that, it shouldn’t need anything.

Car is located in Tewksbury, Mass.

Pictures will be available soon.

Please email naap51@comcast.net if interested.

Gotta admit, before I opened the post, I suspected this was a joke. But okay, you trying to help your folks out with the adverstising.

My brother raised his family with a Taurus Wagon and after nearly 200k miles was considering another, so the car is not without merit.

The mileage on yours is very good. If it was garaged and hasn't been attacked by salt this could be a peach :dunno: (FWIW, I think my '91 Corolla wagon with 215k miles would sell for more.)

Good credentials and personal acquaintance with used cars is now at a premium in the aftermath of Katrina's post-flood "flood" of salvage vehicles masquerading as good deals.

Good luck!

Congrats on the sale!!!

Thanks!

It was my parents' car. They really only have a need for one vehicle now, so they kept the Accord (02 EXVL) over the Taurus.

We've had more than a few Tauruses in the immediate family over the years, but I'd say that will be the last one ever. And not just because Ford has pulled the plug on the Taurus.
