Hi,
Does anyone have an "easy" method to remove the air filter in 7th gen Accords?
I've taken mine off a few times, and it took a lot of wrestling with the cover to get it off.
Any comments are welcome!

Remove the air tube from the filter box first, then remove the lid.

I did that.. and it was still a pain to pull out.. I was wondering if I should just remove the whole tube, at the throttle body end..??
I've worked on many other cars, and this one seems to be the hardest to change... :dunno: maybe I am stupid? :paranoid:

With the entire tube out of the way it does make things easier.

Not stupid, silly! :) Accords have always had screw-held air boxes. I find that to be a royal PITA, also. I liked how I could just snap off some clips to access my airbox on the Civics and Toyotas.... With the Accord, I need to break out my socket set with extension since using the phillips head screwdriver would most likely strip the heads anyway. :thumbsdow
Short, stiff hoses holding the box cover down doesn't help either...

You ever tried changing the bulbs?
oohhh man... when i first changed mine it was a pain, getting a screw driver to get the bulb out was a pain in the butttt

Yep... Swapped the stock bulbs for Silverstars and is probably going to swap them out as soon as they burn out. I'm expecting about 8 months.... Just in time for Fall... :D I didn't mind the changing headlight bulbs that much, but the stock air box is a much bigger PITA! I'm considering getting a CAI or SR intake so I don't have to deal with the stock airbox!

Mine has snap on clips. Easy as pie, I check my filter all the time.

Good... seems like I'm not the only one finding this difficult... I wonder how the ppl @ the dealer do it... (maybe they'll charge 1 hour labour to change it.. hahaha)...
and yes, I just changed my light bulbs, passenger side is easy, drivers' side... after some bad language and a scraped up arm, I got it, it doesn't help anymore since I did it in -10 deg C temp, OUTSIDE! it's easier in the summer, when the fender liner is softer...
