Don't forget that since they are now not being sold and installed by an authorized dealer that there is also no warranty on the alarms as per DEI's warranty. Aside from that they are great alarms.

Prices are just a tad high to bite.
Remote start for '97 or later Hondas most likely require a separate immobilizer bypass kit. Remote Start for autos only.

You can do remote start on stick shift cars also you just have to be careful on how you go about it. Either using unit that is designed for sticks or by finding the wire on the tranny that either goes to ground or power when the car is in gear. I've done it on my previous three vehicles, two cars and a motorcycle, with no problems at all. None of them would start when in gear. With the motorcycle it was increadibly simple as there was a neutral indicator light in the instrument cluster, on the cars I had to get the manufacturer body electric manuals and trace the circuits down, but they have alway been there. I still would never do itout of my shop when I was still installing, didn't want to even have the possibilitly of having to deal with the lawsuit. :paranoid:

that right around $5.00 +/- dealer cost
plus they are all new in the box if something goes wrong with it I can get it swapped out or worst case warranted

the part you would need to do remote start for 97+ Hondas would be a dei 555h or 556h or 5556u or 555u all cost around 30-40 also on the u parts you need to put a key that starts the car inside the part

A quick search for the viper 560:

Unless DEI raised the dealer cost of their systems, the prices you listed are just a tad high. Viper 791XV's dealer cost is about $180 and that is pretty much their top of the line pager alarm system.. The other systems you have listed should be about $15 cheaper each if it's dealer cost + $5.

If a full warranty is included by you, then that's a different story. :)

Greg, I know these RS systems can be adapted to MT cars, but it's a liability suit just waiting to happen... They're designed for AT and the RS part of the alarm system should only be enabled for AT cars. If you bypass your car's and the alarm's safety systems, and something bad happens, you got no one to blame but yourself.

With that being said, I had a RS system in my old car (MT), but I disabled the system before I traded it in. I didn't want a pending lawsuit to come back and bite me in the a$$.. :blah:

well looks like the link is a "tad" lower on the alarms but your site offers no warrantee and with their shipping charges i was not too much higher than their alarms $30 higher on the 560 and only $3 on the 350. Also I have the Viper 1000 which replaces the 850 and my 1000 is a "tad" lower $6 than you sites pricing. I guess since I didn't buy the alarms at dealer master cart pricing my idea of dealer cost might be a lil bit higher than yours. Sorry for trying to make a few bucks.

hbusa, i'm not trying to attack you personally. I got no problem with you trying to sell your stuff here. I'm just trying to say that if you're selling stuff with prices that are higher than what can be had easily from other websites, that you'd have some trouble doing it successfully. This holds especially true because you've only been on this forum for two months and only 15 posts under your belt. Like I said before, if you could offer a full warranty on these products then that would be a different story and would justify the prices you're selling them at and make them a bargain! Like Greg S said, DEI won't provide any warranty on the Viper line of alarms if they're not sold AND installed by an authorized dealership. Sorry to get off on the wrong foot.
