If they need to replace an entire steering system, I think your alignment is the least of your worries.

Don't think anyone has. I don't recall anyone on the forum having to replace any rack&pinions either, except for stiller with 270K on his car.

I have been experiencing poor steering since i bought my car. I've had 2 alignments done and the steering wheel is still off center and it still feels like it wants to goto the left. Eventually I got sick of taking it into the shop because otherwise it's fine. I just assumed it was cheap tires or something. But now I'm nervous...

Honda steering is very sensitive to imperfections. Some people can tell when their front tires are at different pressures :lmao: My steering wheel LOOKS off center, but I don't think it is because it doesn't FEEL off center. Might be just an illusion.

My steering looks off center too  , I checked the test procedure since my car drifts a little to the left. It passed.

On a level road, with little or no crown, if the car drifts within 4 seconds of leaving the wheel then something's wrong. If it takes longer more than 4 seconds it's probably the road/tire pressure..etc minor.

My '05 LX AT has dead-center steering with no pull other than normal road crown pull. Tires are wearing even and smooth. Steering is fine - real crisp still after 10k miles.
