Read page 4 (http://www.in.honda.com/Rjanisis/pubs/SN/a060200.PDF)

Anyway, I guess that this affirms the notion that one should stick to the manual when it comes to recommended maintainance.

There's also a reccomendation on how to properly clean your engine compartment :)

Flushes do no good because they just send other people's used fluid through your tranny. A "real flush" is better, where you just change out what you can, drive a bit, do it again, repeat a few times...

how much do you mean a few times and how long should we drive the car until a next change??

2-3 times are usually sufficient to "flush" out all the old fluid. You should drive at about 100 miles between drain and fills.

But with this type of drain & refill, a fair amount of the fluid only has a couple hundred miles on by the 3rd change so it seems sorta wasteful to me unless the car is having problems.

yup, it's wasteful....but it's just how you do it....think of it as if you were drinking from a water fountain....do you get all of the water into your mouth? Nah, you waste a little, but don't you feel better after some nice cold water?

Yup pics are not allowed to show up in the signature...we had to do that a while ago because people had ridiculously long sigs and others complained that they had to scroll endlessly.

The Honda company agrees that flushing it out isn't good.... they say a regularly maintained vehicle doesn't need it. AND you risk sending crap places it should be. AND cleaning solvents that some use can be left behind & break down the lubricants you want in there.

Who needs pictures in the signature when you can put them on your avatar???? :dunno:

I think you should change your avatar back to the pic where your car looks like a little toy :D

There is a jerking feeling when the gear changes when my rpm is around 2000 but if i press a little more, it is very smooth. is this because of age and miles??? mostly people tell me this reason.
