2003 accord cd holder problem

has anyone had trouble with the cd holder below the radio/ac stack. ours is sticking closed. i had heard that honda is redesigning it.

anyone heard of this.

I've also noticed that mine tends to rattle once in a while? Anyone else have this problem?

Well, if it's rattling.......I haven't noticed. Of course, my wife is the one driving it around, too!!:p

I'm too busy driving around my MDX.....:cool:

However, I will keep an ear out for it, and let you know. I can't stand any extraneous noise coming from our vehicles......(You can call me anal if you want to!)

I have noticed a "clicking" sound that appears to be coming from the back seat/trunk area. We noticed it right after picking it up from the dealer. Anyone else heard this????

I am having the same problem with the c d holder. The door sticks and has to be helped open. Will be going to the dealer on Tuesday will keep you posted

We heard a rattle coming from the back of our new 2003 Accord. It turned out to be the licence plate holder the dealer had put on. There are no bottom screws in the plate so it rattled every time we hit a bump.

On our '01 I've had some problems with one of the anchors for the childseats located on the deck behind the rear seats rattling quite bad. Recently we had a seatbelt jam, so while I was fixing that I stuck an old washcloth between the frame and the deckpiece around the anchor that had the rattle. Almost 3000 miles later and it still hasn't come back.

If y'all have a thump/click sound in the rear.. sounds like the spring letting go ... it could be the spot weld. The Pilot & Oddessy had it in the front & I've heard that the Accords have it in the rear. It requires a trip to the dealer & that little weld ground down a pinch. Pretty minor, but we noticed our's today & it will be taken care of soon. We have no other abnormal noises. The CD cubboard door opens when it should & closes when it should. :)

Rattle From the Rear Shelf
SYMPTOM
A rattle can be heard from the rear shelf area.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The dynamic damper does not fit tightly against the
rear shelf.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Install washers between the dynamic damper and the
rear shelf.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Remove the rear shelf trim (see page 20-95 of the
2003 Accord Service Manual).
2. Remove the dynamic damper.
3. Install two 6 mm washers between the dynamic
damper bracket and the rear shelf.
4. Reinstall the dynamic damper and the rear shelf
trim.
