There needed to be just EXPAND. Or both old & fast.
I know this is a tough one for you. Remember that it's holiday time & many people have relatives in already & have gone away, so don't judge on the movement now.
Don't stress, just let it ride for the few weeks you'd given it, then make your choice. Relax, be happy. There's always so much going on during this time of year, no point in making it worse by worrying about this site! If by Jan.7 it's not picked up how you want. Then we'll have a week to say our goodbyes & you'll still be on your Jan. 15th date you gave yourself last year.

I was already kind of thinking about letting it ride for a while. I could go to a quarterly schedule with my host for this site. That and with my investment in vBulletin ($180), photopost ($150), hosting ($240/yr) and my design/graphics time. I hate to see it just get scrapped.

How can we help? I think some of us could help to run the site...

dont you ewen think about clousing these forum, these is the best forum i ewer seen and especiali when all people from around the world can discus and find solution for problems. i feel special becouse i m a member of drive accord, as well ass accord is special car.so if anyone can help you, you need only to ask, and i m certain that all will help:blush:
I for one would prefer not to see the site expand to cover older Accords. Every other Accord site out there is filled w/ nothing but modding talk and how some 18 yr. old has managed to f*%#-up a once-beautiful vehicle by lowering the springs and adding an obnoxiously loud exhaust.
*** YUCK ***
I like the sophistication level of this site, and hope it stays the same.

There's a difference between expanding to cover older cars and expanding to include modified cars. Thanks for the degrading 18 year old comment :D :D

Good point Benji ... Also when the 8th gen rolls out I guess all the 7th gen people here would not be to happy if all that the forum covered were "New cars".
I believe that the Mod crowd has the right to spend their money how ever they chose and as some people say to each their own...
As it has been said before you will not find alot of new car owners on forums talking about car problems other than issues with dealers...
When all these new cars become old and out of warranty and you want to DIY it will be nice to have a group of Honda followers there to help and not say you'll have to find another forum to find your answers....
I believe it says Drive Accord not Accord 2000+
My 2 cents:)

P.S. BB don't get offended your not 18 yet ,are you??
And Bean have you really looked at the ol extension cord site...
not much on mods but full of problem solving and useful info...:)

I was planning on doing a lot to my car especially after getting a Helms manual for Christmas. I could have made a lot of DIY's. That's all changed now that my dad is talking about selling his Camry and taking my Accord, meanwhile I could upgrade to an Odyssey.
But I'm just a lowly 16 year old youngin...
I1 do you do all your own repairs?

Everything except majors... T-belt and that sort --special tools required.. I'll take to dealer but they don't like to see me because I'm to critical about the handling of my vehicle and I bury service writers when they BS me....
My best friend owns his own shop and is always willing to take care of me... But if I take it there I always want to just use his tools and do myself anyway... kinda ticks of his tech's...
So I just do the lunch thing every now and then.....
My 23 yr old nephew just received his Pro-kit and camber kit for his 98 EX 4/5spd .. I am looking forward to installing that when he gets his shocks....... It's fun to Mod someone else's car with their money.

I wish I could lower my car. It's such a chain effect. First it's them springs. Then oh darn I need struts. Ohh camber kit too? Arg that's like $1000! Nevermind...
I wish I could work on my car like that. I wouldn't mind if only I was sure of how to pull it off and if I knew I had all the tools. I don't want to get half way through replacing something and whoops I don't have a tool...guess I have to put it back together.
Sorry for hijacking the thread Wards :)

When the site was a baby there was a period of slow growth, but then suddenly became a toddler & seems to be doing fine!:)
Plenty of room for growth.....

but, does anyone know what happened to the cordclub.com? When i got my '91 a few years back and needed DIY info there was always helpful posters there. This site seems to have good dedicated posters as well, but i was curious why it is no longer online.

Cordclub was a very good repair/maintenance site. Some of the more active posters on this site also were active over there.
