It's hard to tell really, but - Honda better bring it as far as design goes with next gen Accord... Nissan had some awesome growth numbers recently since they redesigned their cars.
New Altima is going to be presented at auto show in NY next month.

Even with an ugly butt, rattles, squeaks, brake problems, and headunit problems, the Accord has outsold the Altima consistently. Taking fleet sales out of the equation, the Accord matches or beats the Camry in sales. I'm not worried
If Nissan really wants to step it up, they need to stop focusing on design and start making reliable cars with good materials like they have done in the past. I don't care how good it looks, if it's going to break all the time I'm not going to buy another one.

You know - funny you mention that - my wife's 05 Accord has more rattles after 8000 miles than my 02 Altima after 45K on the clock.
Either way - my point being - both Nissan and now Toyota are putting thought into their car designs. For Honda that is an afterthought. It seems silly that Honda makes you go to Accura if you want to have good looks. IMO if they designed a beautiful mass selling car (as Accord is) - there would be no stopping the sales!
New Civic is a good sign though.
I dunno, I guess I am in a minority - I would (and did) dismiss a car as a purchasing choice for myself based on looks alone.

I know rattles are a problem in the current Accord but the horror stories I'm hearing on Nissan forums are far worse than that. Maybe you got lucky, but I'm not willing to take a chance on a car that I've seen so many mechanical problems with

If I were to switch companies.....I'd buy the new 2007 Camry SE...that's a pretty sweet ride.......can't trust Nissan...plus their resale value :thumbsdow
