Yesterday my Prince had to work on his normal day off.... it wasn't all bad....

Often the Service Writers will write EXACTLY what the customers says his problem is. This was the Work Order for an Odyssey:

"My wife gets a head ache when I turn up the heat"

Sounds like a personal problem to me!!!:D

Good one Princess ....... I remember stuff like that..

Our GM at shop had a old Oldsmobile 98 We put a mercury switch with a 12 volt buzzer on top of glove box so every time he stopped buzzer would go off........ that was a good one...
I'm sure your Prince has seen some good ones also.....
Techs harass each other something terrible... Jokers....

There's been a bunch of antics over the years at the shop. There's always the "frisbe" throwing with the little round cards they used to put on the oil filters. (Pinged the boss in the head & the filters were given out without the card board after that) Super gluing various things to the work benches, using compressed air to make jugs explode with a bang.....he rigged up a tiny timer in the fuse box that replace the fuel relay & when the tech started the car it would die after 30 seconds... ( this was done after when a car was in just for a service) he exchanged the window washer plug with a turn signals plug, so when the tech turned on the signal the washer would shoot.....rigged up a multi button remote so that he could make the horn blast, radio go on, lights go on or off.... this kept one of the techs busy for quite a while trying to find the "problem". I'm sure there's been hundreds, he's pretty creative!

He was planning to rig a air bag devise under the boss' chair, but decided someone could get hurt. Summers usually include some sort of water trick.

I liked the work order because that WAS what the customer said!

I've said for years, they're all a bunch of over grown 14 year olds!:D
