View Full Version : trip report....
princess 03-22-2006, 08:12 AM We went to Disneyland over the past few days...
On the way down there we noticed signs that said: "don't drive drunk it saves lives".... sounded like they're saying driving drunk saves lives & they don't want you to do it!! :lmao:
We got 32.4 mpg in the (side) wind going down...& 28.8 mpg coming back up...more wind & hitting the front corner... :thumbsdow
It was cold down there for this time of year. We were also surprised by the crowds! Normally the March trip is much less crowded than this time.
It rained Monday night & that was nice since it made the crowds scatter & then the paths & lines were near empty!! :D
On the way home we hit a few rain showers & saw a wonderful double rainbow.... I'll post pictures later.
My car now has 18K on it!! That means I'm adveraging 600 miles per month now!! That's a lot of shopping!!! :lmao:
satanzrejekt 03-22-2006, 11:52 AM You went to Disneyland and you didn't invite any of us for a Honda Day @ Disney ??? hehe
Yea it was a bit rainy down here but now its sunny. weird.
but anyway, we have the same year in car and i have 42K on it today! woohoo (not really)
anyway, hope the happiest place on honda earth was fun... :lmao:
stiller fan 03-22-2006, 11:59 AM welcome back princess.... glad that you enjoyed ur trip....
it has been quiet over the past couple days, which is a good thing.... altho, i have not seen neither stevel nor anysia tho... :dunno:
at least ur not getting the avg 22mpg like in my car.... :bawling:
princess 03-22-2006, 01:02 PM When we got home the trip computer sais 31.4....but I'm sure I ruined that, I did some errands this morning!! I'ts so fun to drive after he's been driving it for a day or two....it learns him & he's more gentel than I am. So when I get in it...it feels more "zoomy"!!
I'll have it back down to 19 or less soon!
We always have a great time down there...rain or shine.
I think the fellow Accordians here would've whimped out from the rain!! And if that didn't get them, the crowds. People were a bit ruder than normal. They'd run smack into me, then give me a look of distain. I was the one going straight & slow.....they were the ones cutting through. Oh well, we don't let it get to us. I only got stepped on once!!
I forgot to take a tiara!! :paranoid: I ALWAYS do! I didn't pack in my normal mode....It just had been a nasty week!!
princess 03-22-2006, 01:03 PM The double rainbow......where's the pot of gold????? :dunno:
princess 03-22-2006, 01:07 PM This is where the Honda school is in French Camp.... you used to be able to see it well...but the trees grew! There's Honda trailers from the sem-i's parked there 'cuz it's also the regional warehouse.

nonsense...... my family and i like to swim in the rain if it's not stroming as well...... :lmao:
love the rain, but it must have its place tho as well, aka don't care for it at park, or beach......
as for the crowds; that is why my family did not like WDW when we went about 10yrs ago... it was outside of the normal tourist season down there..... early-mid august at that time, and still had to wait about an hour or longer for everything..... personally, they should do a better job of crowd control there..... :stupid:
now, universal studios, MGM's park, and the water parks were great tho..... :D liked universal the most, due to the most recent accractions, the fast lines, and the good entertainment as well.....
princess 03-22-2006, 01:11 PM In the rain near Thunder Mt.
Of course, my poncho nearly keeps my ankles dry!! :lmao:
princess 03-22-2006, 01:15 PM We've had both disorganized crowdy visits & nice medium ones in both resorts. I don't think they expected the crowds anymore than we did this time! They weren't up to par on their norm with the crowd control, on Monday...till it rained!! People scattered! it was cool!!
At WDW we've also had good days & not so good!
This time we'll be there Sept 1-5...we told the kids, but not the boys yet.
princess 03-22-2006, 01:22 PM I've (we've) done some really stupid stuff in the rain.... I've water skiied when there was lightening & hail (ouch!) I've play in a lake during a nasty summer storm in KS as a kid. It was thundering big time! We've fished out here in the delta during a weird storm with a black sky & thunder & lightening crackling across the sky!
I should have more fear, I guess. People have been killed doing that stuff!! :dunno:
My kids were taught to enjoy storms too.... when all the neighborhood kids headed indoors 'cuz of a storm, my silly bunch went outside!! :D

In the imortal words of Frank Zappa...Now is that a real poncho or is that a Sears Poncho? :lmao:

How about windsurfing in a thunderstorm...how does that measure up on the stupid scale :naughty: Wet feet, holding onto a 15' mast...oooooo, I feel all tingly!
samsonskeg 03-22-2006, 02:50 PM how about jet sking in a thunderstorm :) I did that in long boat key
princess 03-22-2006, 04:32 PM It's a JCPenney's poncho!! :lmao: :lmao: It's a nifty one that shakes out almost dry & stashes in it's own pocket & has a clip for a beltloop!! It's great for those Summer storms!! I got them before our first trip to FL.
When we use them here, we have to have a coat under them.
