I've got an '03 EX-V6 and there's an annoying squeak in the center console. It usually occurs when going over rough pavement, but goes away from time to time. Anybody else have this problem? Thanks.

Mine doesn't rattle, but I looked through the bulletins & nothing is mentioned about a noise. Are you sure nothing slipped down through a crack. If I see anything, I'll try to let you know. If you discover the cause let us know!:)

Mine had a squeak from below the radio - by the gear shifter. Any time I’d hit it with my leg, or go over rough roads (which there are way to many in Nebraska), it would make this squeaky noise – like two pieces of plastic rubbing together. They put some 'foam tape' in it and haven't had a problem yet.

Thanks. The plastic on plastic squeak is exactly what I'm hearing. Do you know where they put the tape? None of the dealers in my area have heard of this, and I'm trying to avoid a fishing expedition when I take it in.

I have the service receipt at home - I'll 'officially' look when I get back after the new year. But, I remember the squeak was on the drivers side, between the lower console (where the gear shift is) and the radio/CD holder... you can see where the two pieces meet.

I also found that if I were to put pressure, say with my knee, on it when I was driving, it would go away. Hope this helps.

Pulled the repair ticket... here is what it says:

"Center console front panel was rubbing against gear position indicator panels on shifter and causing squesking noise. Install felt tape on front panel."
